The plumber repaired a broken pipe to hold the toilet and also repaired the drainage pipe from the adjacent tub last spring. The cost was very high. He came again this fall to install a new toilet after we tiled our floor and again the cost was very high for a simple toilet installation. We received no response from our phone call on March 1st of this year. Service providers who do not respond should not be included on Angie's List! This is a service we are paying for and should include only quality providers. I am very disappointed.

This was the 2nd time that Chad Gengras has done plumbing work for me (the previous work was on the same boiler, but a different problem). He arrived very close to on time from a previous job. The overflow pipe of my gas boiler was leaking water. He answered all of my (many) questions, and explained things well, along with the reasons multiple parts had to be replaced. He was honest about everything, and the final price was close to the original estimate (in the course of the repair, it became obvious that another component needed replacement, which added some to the originally estimated cost),. He appeared very knowledgeable, and took pains to adjust my heating system at the end so that it functioned properly.
I would definitely hire him again.

I called on a Wednesday evening after a very bad storm had recently gone through the area, thinking like everyone else they would be busy and I might get a call back within a few days. To my surprise, I got a call back within an hour, and after discussion about what I thought the problem was, determined that either Chad (owner?) or Jason could fit it in the next day as long as I was flexible with my times, which I was. The next morning I got a call from Jason (well within the window of 9 to noon agreed on) to clarify directions, and he was here within five minutes. Chad followed because he was in the area. Jason looked at the problem, discussed the issue with me, replaced the rigid line with a flexible one and they were on their way within fifteen minutes. They were both courteous and professional, and I appreciated that they explained the issue carefully and didn't try to add on any extras. The bill was reasonable; I understand that the service call charge is a part of even a very minor repair but it still stung a little. Truth to tell I probably could have done myself and should have, but it wouldn't have been without banged up knuckles, multiple trips up and down stairs and to the hardware store, and words the kids don't need to hear Grandma saying. My job was small and I can't speak to jobs of larger scope, but Jason seemed competent and careful, and Chad double checked to make sure everything was all set, so all in all a good value for what I paid and a very positive experience.

He did a very nice job and I was happy with him. He had to cut a hole in the wall outside to get to the drain pipe. He did it very quickly. It took him an hour and a half. I called him for a leak but it turned out to be something big. It wasn’t his fault, though. Prior to that, he had fixed a faucet for me. He was reasonable. He couldn’t come out for three days because he was really busy. But, that was okay. I will use his services again in the future.

My 91 year old mom needed a new kitchen faucet. Becuase I live in Vermont and she in Westfield, MA I had to shop by phone. After many calls, I selected Gingras Plumbing and Heating because of the way my initial call was handled by Melissa and then the subsequent call-backs by Chad. Melissa and Chad were great to talk to and the next day William showed up and did an excellent job. Best of all, my mom liked William, trusted him, and would definitely use the Gingras company again. It's often not easy trying to care for my mom from a distant location so it's wonderful to find a company that is responsive and can be trusted. Jason arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time. He diagnosed each job, said what he needed to do, and did it once I gave the green light. It took him about 4 hours altogether (he had to go get parts at the plumbing supply house). Everything that he replaced works perfectly and there are no more leaks!
