This roof was put on 3 years ago. It appeared as if everything was ok until this past winter when we had Ice and leaking. The contractor said it was caused by ice dams and it was not his problem. Every time it rained it leaked. Another roofer told me to tarp my roof so I dont have anymore damage. I have water damage in almost every room. The insurance company said that we had been having leaking for 3 years. We put a new roof on for $9500. The insurance company paid to have it fixed. The insurance company agreed with me and agreed to pay me the $9500 for the new roof, but decided to take action against the contractor. The contractor used shingles from 2 different lots and did not install ice protection correctly which was the overall cause of the problem. It was about about 35,000 to fix all of the damage caused by these leaks.
