+ 0 moreOne of the big parts of the job involved the accessing of the crawl space. Jimmy got himself through the smallest opening and from there he vented the heater outside and ran the wires for the upstairs smoke alarms. I could not believe he fit through that opening. I thought the house would require a total rewiring, but after going over everything with Jim, he assured me that the wiring was fine, but outlets needed upgrading and the circuit board as well. Saving my front door light was absolute frosting on the cake. He took it home and soaked it and cajoled it, and returned with it 3 days later. It works! They are punctual, reliable, and clean up after themselves. Both are licensed and insured. They are my electricians from now on! As for the cost; it seemed to me that the price was extremely reasonable. I thought it would have been higher and that I'd have to eliminate a couple of things.
Description of Work: Jim & son Jimmy did several projects over 4 days: new fan/heater/light in bathroom ceiling which involved venting to the outside through VERY small crawl space; installed 5 hard-wired smoke alarms, a new outlet in kitchen, upgraded several outlets and switches throughout the house, fabricated a replacement recessed light fixture in basement room, upgraded 3 outdoor outlets, installed larger circuit box, and saved my outdoor light fixture. Jim took that home and worked his magic. The venting of the bathroom fixture required them to open a crawl space (no attic) through a closet ceiling. They also removed a wall heater and covered the space.
