They were very helpful in ordering process. They came & measured on time. Delivery was delayed by three days but compared to other companies was a quick turn around from time of order to time of installation was 13 days.

I have contacted  GRANITE SHOP, after my initial service provider vanished after taking my deposit. My kids were supposed to be coming back  and I needed granite countertops installed ASAP. I found then on Angie's List and contacted them right away. They came the next day and took all the measurements. Within a week they came and installed my countertops. I was very happy with the results, price and labor. I would recommend granite shop and Mariana if you are looking for reasonable price, punctuality and great results!

As we began our kitchen renovation, we spoke with and received quotes from more than 7 different vendors.  We had fallen in love with Super White which is extremely hard to find, and is often accompanied by a very high price tag.  After comparing all of the quotes and meeting Paula and Carlos in person, it was a no brainer to go with them.  Not onnly did they have the very best Super White, they had the best prices to go along with them.  They are very professional, yet treat their customers and employees as family.  While doing the template, they were open to ideas and we even used one of my sons legos as the inspiration for the bump out around our range!  They were also very accommodating with the schedule and hit some pretty aggressive timelines in the middle of the holidays.  When I went in to lay out the final template on the stones we had picked out, I saw others that I loved even more.  I was really blown away when they let me change to them at the last minute.  I really can't say enough about them and have already been recommending them to friends and family. Do yourself a favor and go meet them.

You can see I don't write reviews often so when I do they're sincere. I had a great experience at Granite Shop and wanted to share it. First off what this place has to offer is price. I shopped around and this place was literally thousands of dollars cheaper than the 3 other quotes I got for the same design - including Home Depot.
My main contact there was Marissa who seemed to be the saleswoman there as well as the office manager. She was pleasant and polite with every interaction I had with her. I don't think the other reviews mentioning rudeness are fair. It is true they have kind of random holidays but she was totally up front with me so that was fine. For example from the get go she told me they'd be closed two weeks for Christmas. Marissa is my only contractor during my entire remodeling process that was calling ME to keep me on schedule. Working with contractors is worse than herding cats so that kind of scheduling was much appreciated.
Looking at the stone samples on site is helpful but I would highly recommend visiting the wholesaler to see an entire slab. I actually totally changed my mind after doing this and I'm glad I did. For Granite its CBS in Winchester and for Quartz I believe its MSI in Norwood (these are wholesalers, you can't buy from them as a homeowner).
Edwin came out to do my measurements and was very pleasant. They take very thin strips of wood to create a template with a glue gun. He was fast and accurate.
I never trust any review that's 100% negative or positive and since I've done the positives I'll do the negatives now. The only bad thing I have to say about this place is the day of the install that crew was a little rougher to work with. They weren't going to complete my backsplash until I called them on it. They also didn't have the dishwasher clips on hand but those are small details. English was not a strong suit here either but I communicated just fine withe the foreman.
Also, customization here gets pricey very quickly. If you're ok with a pencil edge that's fin but a bullnose is going to cost almost any design a lot more- they do it by the linear foot. The slab I got made my cuts hard I think but they probably could have done a better job hiding my seam. Its a natural product though so I wasn't really upset.
So long story short- would I recommend a friend there or do business with these guys again? Absolutely! I am in fact planning to use them for a kitchen vanity down the road. Customers who want a ton of hand hold and top notch service they're willing to pay for could go elsewhere. If you want a basic granite counter top at a very reasonable price go here.

Working with this counter top provider has been an stressful ordeal. Granite-shop was the least expensive provider of stone counter tops that I could find in the Boston area. It took them three times to get my granite cut properly. First, Granite-shop cut the hole for the sink in the wrong place. They refused to cut a new counter top from an new slab, even though my counter top was supposed to be cut from one slab so there would be uniformity in the color and veining across the stone. Instead, I had to work with them to find a remnant that we could use to replace the improperly-cut piece. Luckily we were able to find a remnant that worked. On the replacement piece, the Granite-shop cut the sink hole too small for my sink. So they had to take the counter top back to fix it again. Finally, on the third try they got it right. The inability to cut the counter top properly delayed my kitchen renovation by approximately two weeks. In the end, Granite-shop got it right, but the saving over an alternative provider wasn't worth the stress and delay. I would have given them a B if they cut my granite properly from the beginning.

This company requested half the amount up front and the remaining balance upon completion of the job.  It took this company several weeks to schedule an install date.  Contacting this company was very challenging.  My husband & I initially drove 3 hours to the business to view granite colors and types.  When we got there, no one was there, even though we arrived during their posted business hours.  We had brought the phone number with us and called and was told we had to wait 30-45 minutes before someone would be there. If it hadn't been for the distance we traveled, I would have walked right then and there. The price on the granite was excellent and I did select a granite countertop. When I went to actually schedule the installation, most of the time I got an answer machine and no one would call me back.  I was beginning to think the place was a set up for a scam because I wasn't getting any live person or any return phone calls.  Finally, I got a real person after weeks of trying and a date was scheduled.  The installation went fine, although I had to bring in extra help to carry in the granite countertop, as the Granite Shop did not send enough guys with them to carry in the countertop.  Immediately after the installation, I started noticing very tiny nicks and scratches in the kitchen granite countertop.  Many of the nicks were located where there was no use of the countertop, like the area directly in back of the kitchen faucet.   I contacted the company and described the nicks and scratches - hundreds of them everywhere.  Now, understand, it is only my husband and myself in the home.  It took me years to save up enough money to update my kitchen and I baby this countertop.  There has been nothing abrasive or caustic on the granite.  I do not prepare anything directly on the granite, but rather use a wooden cutting board or composite cutting board.  I have sealed it 3-4 times and use only products on it that are for granite surfaces only.  The company did not respond to my complaint or offer any assistance whatsoever.  Very poor customer service and follow-up.  Very unhappy with this company
