Jack and his crew were excellent. The whole experience was flawless from the quoting to payment. I cannot thank Jack enough for being able to get our home ready for pictures for the home being put up for sale, especially with such short notice. Landcare is one of those very rare companies that I cannot recommend highly enough.

Jack and his crew came out and cleaned up our severely neglected backyard. Jack was very professional, easy to schedule a quote with, punctual, very nice and accommodating. We purchased our home last year and I don't think anyone had raked leaves in 5 years. They did a great job cleaning it up! In addition they cut down dead trees and removed 8 stumps. They did a great job and were very easy to communicate with! We would absolutely use them again and would recommend jack and his crew to everyone! Thanks so much Jack!

Absolutely fantastic group of 9 men came in and took away everything in 3 hours.  They made it look so clean.  They cut down trees, took away 10 years worth of leaves, cut down all the underbrush, relocated rocks to the back rock wall.  They were friendly, showed up early, cleaned up more than I asked them to and I am absolutely having them back to do my annual normal fall clean up each year.  You really want to call these guys.

Jack did fall leaf clean up for our yard. He was very responsive and made the entire process from a quote through getting the work done really easy. He responded quickly to email as well. I would definitely have him do other work in the future!

If I can't mow my lawn, I call them for that. If I need to do heavier garden work then I'm comfortable doing, I call them. They're wonderful. They're responsive. I get a newsletter every month. It's great. Their billing is good. I never had any problems with that. They're a great company and I highly highly recommend them. I find it reasonable and less than the previous one I was using. They actually were the only one to get back to me on all my calls to the other people on the list that I called. Nobody else on the list that I left messages for even got back to me. They're so nice. They like my dogs. They clean up great. They do anything I ask them to do, reasonable price, friendly service. I can't be happier.

They were great. They were very, very fast in responding. I am hoping they will do our yard regularly so I would absolutely use them again.

I recently purchased a home where the owner did not take care of her outdoor space, for 2 years. It was overgrown trees were splitting under their own weight, and it became a home for wildlife. Knowing that this was too much to handle we called in the professionals. Jack and his crew responded to each and every call/question. The guys that were there (6 of them!) were all great and worked so diligently. They weeded, cut sick trees, and literally transformed my overgrown ground hog heaven into a space I love. I wish I could post picts of the before and after, my real estate agent and anyone who had seen it prior could not believe how nice it is after their visit. The ground hog trapper, and my contractor we even impressed. I already gave his number out several times! Again, I cannot even start to tell you how pleased I am. Thank you Jack (Waldo, Reynaldo, and Jim!) See you in the fall for seeding and winterizing :)

I really enjoy working with Jack, the owner. He is friendly, honest, and is crew is very reliable. We will continue to use them this season.

They did a great job on the fall cleanup on my property but a little expensive but not bad.

I called one afternoon and left a message requesting a quote for a Fall cleanup for my yard, providing my street address. Received prompt return call that evening stating they would be out the next day and would call prior to coming in case I might be home, but would come and take a look even if unable to reach me. Missed the call due to my unavailability, but arrived home shortly thereafter and found Jack there checking out the yard. Very polite and professional. He provided a quote of $250 and said his crew would be out in 1-2 days to do the job. I came home from work the next day to a wonderfully tidy and leaf free yard. Excellent prompt quality work. I will definitely use LandCare again!

Although we were happy with the work that was done, I have two big complaints. First, A section of the back (included in the scope of work) was completely overlooked and not touched. I talked to Jack Sweeney who said he would send somebody out to do the work and that hasn't happened (we are now 2 weeks past the date he said he would do it.). Second, he told me the work they did would keep the area looking neat and clean for at least a few months. Within a week we had weeds taking over the areas that were cleaned up. I would have paid a little more to have cloth put down under the mulch but he didn't suggest it and I didn't know it was a necessary to keep the area neat.
*UPDATE* After leaving this review Jack contacted me. He personally came out to my house this morning with several workers and they completed all of the work. Overall, we are happy with the work that was done.

I used them a week ago. I have had them for twenty years. They offer a good price and provide reliable work.

Well. The crew was very good at the tasks involved. The owner was on site frequently.

Property had been neglected for a number of years and was overgrown with invasive species. I spent a little more than intended, but they did more work than I had originally planned on. Very professional, efficient, responsive. There's still work to do, and I will be calling them again.

He performed all services as requested, although he was a few days later than he promised. At that time, more leaves had fallen and I am concerned he was not able to adequately fertilize all of my lawn.

Landcare were excellent. They were responsive and reasonably priced.

We recently purchased a home in Salem and the previous owners had left the lawn in disrepair. The biggest issue was flooding. Our entire lawn (roughly 70X40) would flood, up to a foot deep in places, with any significant rainfall. The neighbors told us it had flooded for years and did not offer us much hope that it could be fixed. We received a series of estimates from other companies. Each wanted to do something extensive, including putting in pumps and hooking them up to the city's drainage system. The prices were way out of our price range. Jack came in and started offering very simple solutions. I was nervous it would not work or we would flood the neighbors but decided we had to try or our young son might need to take up sailing in order to play in our yard.
Jacks crew was great. We only had on 4 foot opening into our yard so they spent nearly a week just hauling the dirt and fill into our yard. They seeded and planted some trees to serve as barriers between us and some unpleasant neighbors.
There has not even been a puddle in the yard since, and none of the neighbors yards took on extra water. I could not be happier.
My two critical comments are relatively minor
1. They said they would but something over the grass seed, but they did not.
2. Jack said he would stop by later in the summer when I asked him some questions about upkeep of the trees. He never did. I was very impressed with them up to that point so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming that they got wrapped up in bigger projects over the summer.
The grass and trees did ok, but I didn't really know how to take care of the lawn and I think grubs got it, live and learn.

Jack Sweeney came by and gave me an estimate of a landscaping job for my house. I had a plan drawn up by a landscape designer, and Jack talked to me about the plants and the work. His crew came on time, and they worked fast and were very friendly. Jack couldn't stay to supervise the planting and I was concerned that his crew wouldn't be experienced to know about planting essentials and I had to go to work. They installed a rock drain drip around the house which looks great, and planted the plants. However, when I came home from work many of the plants were planted too close together to grow, or too close to the fence to grow properly. I called Jack, and he promised to come back and do it over. He arrived as scheduled with a small crew in the pouring rain and he walked around and looked at everything and agreed completely with my observations. His crew replanted all the plants that were in question, and remulched everything. He was very nice about it, and his crew were exceptionally friendly, even in the pouring rain. If you hire them, be sure that he has a supervisor who knows about plants or that he is with them when they do the job. I would definitely recommend them. I gave them a B rating for quality because they had to come by a 2nd time, and a B for responsiveness because Jack didn't call me back after I called and left a message. However, they did come on time, as scheduled, and he made everything right. Overall, I give them an A rating and I would hire them again.

They were hired to clean up the yard and mulch. Not only did they do an excellent job, they worked on areas that i didn't even ask them to do. The yard looks fantastic. Would hire them again and again.

Jack was prompt in coming to visit and made me a good offer, so we agreed on a deal right then.A few days later, his guys quickly took care of a nasty bit of brush, prickers and ivy on a steep slope.And they cleaned up very well.I recommend him and would use him again.

I called the company and Jack call me back right away, I explain what I needed and set up a date for the work and the crew show up on time cleaned up my lawn and did a very professinal job with the edging around the house it was worth it for what I paid for.

Both the trimming and the sod installation went very well and the work looks great. We received prompt follow from from our initial contact all the way to the final payment for services. Jack and his team were responsive and performed great work. We receieved 4 quotes for the services and they were well within the ballpark of 2 other bids. Since Jack did some work for a neighbot we ended up going with them and we are glad we did. We would definitely work with Landcare again and most likely will since we have a lot more landscaping to attend to!
