I was very lucky to find Colin Young and his great crew, carpenter David Hackett and his talented son, Andrew. We were taking down an old deck and adding a room to our house, along with doing a little kitchen remodeling. Dave and Andrew are excellent craftsmen. They also came up with creative solutions to some tricky design problems. Dave and Andrew always showed up on time, worked hard, then cleaned up the site at the end of the day. My step-father was a builder and I learned from him that there are right ways and wrong ways to do a job. Dave and Andrew did things the right way, and never cut corners. I highly recommend Green Island Homes. Also, I got 4 bids on this job and their price was very fair.

Colin and his team were on point: professional, timely, and efficient. The end result (including window install) made the property look super. This was a great experience for our family home. I would totally recommend this company to anyone who wants quality work done on time,

If you come across this company, STOP, TURN AROUND, and walk away! NO, TURN AROUND AND RUN, RUN, RUN AND RUN AS FAST AWAY AS YOU CAN! Just about everything they did, they screwed up! For example, the foundation is two feet too high! I have to bend over to turn on the garage lights! I can only park one car in my two-car garage because of the six steps going into the garage! They forgot to include the bulkhead on the plans and had to cut the poured foundation to include the bulkhead at an extra $5,500. They did a demo on a condemned house on my property, but left all the cement slabs and bricks throughout my property! When it rains, my garage floor floods! This might result in major damages to my garage doors when its freezing out! Paid them extra on so many things only to have them done at a joke of a result! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!! Wished I could add so many pictures to show their work!

Colin and his guys built exactly what my wife visualized. There were fundamental problems with the previous configuration but it was re-engineered and executed perfectly. The crew worked right along and got it done in under a month, concept to completion. I would definitely use Green Island Homes again. These are real 5â s.

Green Island Homes added a carport to our garage. They added value to the project at every step of the process. They improved the vague design ideas that we had. They implemented the ideas with quality materials and careful workmanship. They were great to have around: polite, neat, friendly! Great product and great value!

The builder did not discuss every detail about the deck, thus they ended up doing things that we were not happy with. It is sturdy enough, but there were some sloppy things done.

Reliable, knowledgeable and friendly service. Did a great job and would not hesitate to hire them again for future projects.

I'm from Maryland and needed a deck replaced in Falmouth. Now, one would think the distance would create issues with completing the project, but Green Island was very responsive and communication with the project manager was easy and everything went smoothly. The contractors were professional and friendly, and worked quickly and efficiently. I definitely would hire Green Island again and highly recommend the company.
