Team was punctual. Work performed as expected and in the quoted timeframe.

The floor's came out beautiful.  However, once the stain was on and the first coat of poly, we noticed that the color we chose was not  what we had expected.  We tried to see if we could live with it, but the whole purpose of doing the floors was to get the hardwood installed in the kitchen and to change the color of the existing floors.  Jim O'Brien, the owner of O'Brien Flooring told us that he wanted us to be happy with the floors.  Unfortunately, that meant that the floors would have to be sanded again and re-stained to the proper color.  It was kind of one of those situations where nobody was 100% to blame for how we got to this unfortunate situation, it just simply did not turn out how we expected.  In the end, we knew that O'Briens did a great job on the floor and Jim worked it out where  we would share the cost of doing the floor's again 50/50.  When all was said and done, we were happy with this arrangement and the floor's came out beautiful.  It all was a bit more than we expected going in, but we will have these beautiful floors for many years to come.  This was an instance, where things don't actually work out the way the homeowner planned and that is a situation that neither the homeowner or contractor ever want to end up in.  It is because of the great work that was done and Jim O'Brien's willingness to come to an arrangement with us to "make it right" that we would recommend O'Brien Flooring in the future.

We scheduled an job to refinish a part of the floor that got damage and to refinish the stairs since the polyurethane was coming off of the stairs.  Initially we were told that they would be able to feather in the stain so that it would blend with the area that is not refinished, but we would need to have a larger area refinished for them to accomplish this.  We then scheduled it to be done when we were on vacation which they were able to arrange.  The arrangement was pretty seamless and everyone was initially responsive. 
However, when we came back from our vacation, the job was done and the refinish job looked great, but they did not feather in the staining at all and it was a sharp demarcation of which area was refinished versus not.  Ok, fine.. annoying because we were told they would do this, but not the end of the world.  However, on our stairs there were fingerprints all along the paint on the walls.  They left up the plastic draping that they used to section of the area.  There were missing pieces of paint from our ceilings from where they pealed off the masking tape.  They moved some stuff off of our walls, but in doing so damaged them.  We had some dried flowers from our wedding that was hanging and they were completely damaged and placed into the bathroom sink. 
When we contacted them they said the paint was our fault and our ceilings weren't primed properly and that they would talk to the owner and get back to us which they never did.  We have painted our walls in the past and have put up masking tape on the ceiling in the same area and have never had problems with the paint peeling off, infact we did a lot of painting and placing masking tape on the ceiling and never had this issue, but nonetheless, when these things occurred there was absolutely no attempt to contact us to tell us that the ceiling was damaged whether or not it was their fault or ours.  This was something that we had to find out on our own.  They left a mess in the house and didn't clean up after themselves and they never called us back after we complained about our ceilings. 
I would not recommend O'Brien flooring to anyone.  No business is perfect, but its how businesses respond to complaints and errors that really counts.

The work went spectacular.  We left our house in their hands for 4 nights, and when we returned the house looked completely different.  There was a small spot that needed the last polyurethane coat, I called them about it and they sent someone to finish the coating.  They are very responsive and accommodating, not to mention quite affordable.

Very professional. In and out in 3 days and floors looked great.  My only complaint is that after we moved all our furniture in, we noticed some small beads of finish coming up where some of the planks meet.  They are not easy to see, but you can feel them under your feet.  I would use this company again because I am very happy with the look of my floors, but next time I'll really inspect the finish before moving everything back into the rooms.

This was an excellent job.   Workers were pleasant and professional.   The floor looks beautiful!   I would definitely recommend  them.

This Company O'brion worked very professinaly and totally satisfied his customer. Set up new wood flooring on my sister's house kitchen, his work quality and fees are excellent and fair. His feeling of responsibility against completing the job in high standardard quality was great and really admirable. He got 100% satisfaction of his customer. In case of  future needs on flooring, for myself, friends and rest of my family, definitely ask this company to get my business. The company's profesional team were very cooperative, honest and highly qualified.

Decided kind of late to have my wood floors done before Christmas.  Wasn't sure I would be able to find someone to do them that quickly.  I called O'Briens and they were there in a week.  One of our dogs had been peeing on the rug in this room and I couldn't take it anymore.  I called O'Briens and explained the floor was in pretty bad shape.  He said he couldn't guarantee that dark stains from the dog would come out.  I swear there were about 20 dark stains--I didn't have high hopes.  They came and once again wanted to make sure I knew they couldn't guarantee the dark stains would come out.  OMG the floors came out amazing!!!!  The guys who worked on the floor were very friendly and professional.  Every day I go into that room I just can't believe it!

Superb worksmanship. Prompt, punctual, courteous service. Excellent outcome. I'd hire them again without question. (Theirs was the lowest bid we received on the job.)

They were very neat.  They did a very good job and very complete.  We were very pleased with the results.  We did get other estimates but not competitive.

The contractor met all scheduled appointments. He was courteous and absolutely professional in all of our encounters. The quality of his work was exceptionally high. He cleaned up after every visit. I highly recommend his services.

O'Brien and his crew specialize in hardwood floors, which they install and finish on site. They gave me an estimate right on the phone, based on the square footage of our two rooms. They came with a week's notice and kept to the schedule efficiently. They were the lowest price of the businesses I called. For $0.50/sq. ft., they also pulled up the old carpet on the floors and disposed of it. With all that said, they were a little TOO fast and cheap. They did not recommend that I call the plumber to pull the radiators and put boards underneath them. One room had old linoleum under the carpet I was unaware of; they did not volunteer to remove it or even call it to my attention, they just went over it. The result is one room with a different level from the rest of the house, finished with a sill. For many purposes, these are the guys to call, but not if details like that are important to you.
