I have used ESP for all my auto service needs for the last three years, including routine maintenance, repairs, evaluation of cars for purchase. They are always professional, prompt, honest. In cases when my car or that of a family member has broken down out of town, they have assisted us, including trouble-shooting and conferring with the out of town mechanic. I have never had a quality problem with any work they have done and will continue to use them for auto service.

I had an exhaust leak into my 1997 toyota corolla. I took it to the dealer and they wanted hundreds of dollars to replace the entire exhaust system. I balked at the price and asked friends where they go for services. ESP kept coming up as reliable. I called to schedule an appointment, they told me to bring it in the next morning. I got a call a few hours later and they explained what was needed and were then able to repair the exhaust system that afternoon without replacing it.
They also noticed my inspection sticker was out of date and without asking they took my car to a local inspection station, got the car inspected, and only charged me for the cost of the inspection (not their time or effort).

Made the appointment to drop it off overnight for pick-up "sometime" the next day. I was expecting a call after lunch, and a significant bill. When they called just after 10 with a bill half of what I expected I was pleased!

Shortly after the annual car inspection at the dealer, wheel squeaks developed and I noticed heavy rust on all break rotors and deep gouges on one. Being out of warranty, and having recently been charged >$500 for an oxygen sensor replacement by a dealer, I set about finding an independent, competent, honest, reasonably priced repair facility. Trusted friends recommended E.S.P. Auto, and a regional newspaper survey identified them as one of the "Best in the Valley". I visited them and had a good feeling--(dogs can judge people instantly--you can too, if you practice!). They immediately test drove the car (no wait, no charge). They took the car the next day and quickly provided an estimate explaining alternatives and part-quality choices. They then completed the work the same day, coming in UNDER the estimate. Without asking, they saved all the old parts to show me (never had a dealer offer to do that!). And they completed a detailed courtesy inspection of the entire vehicle without charge--and DID NOT find other stuff that they wanted to immediately fix (try that at a dealer). Overall ESP is highly recommended. They are honest, reputable, highly competent and fairly priced.

I dropped my car off Friday morning and didn't hear from anyone all day until I called just before 5pm. When I called they told me that they had just gotten the hood open (one of the problems they were to fix) and that they noticed a transmission fluid leak. They filled it with fluid and said they would like to drive it to see if the transmission issue was solved. Since I was going away for the entire next week (M-F) and didn't need the car, I told them to test drive it. They told me that they would call me with an update. I didn't hear from anyone during the week they had the car. The Monday I got back in town, I stopped in at 8am and the mechanic that worked on the car wasn't coming in until 9am. Still no update. Got a call later that morning and they told me what they had done but didn't give me a price over the phone because they hadn't calculated labor charges yet. I was quite shocked that they didn't call me before doing work that was well-beyond what I had planned on paying. My car is old with over 200K miles on it. I could barely sell it for what I paid them. As far as I can tell, the work they did is of quality. I've only driven the car home. Everyone I spoke to was perfectly pleasant. They also got my car inspected which was very convenient. I just wish there had been more communication between mechanic and customer throughout the entire process.

ESP is GREAT! We have been using them for all our auto repairs for the last 6 years. I don't know why it took me so long to write a report. They are honest, efficient, knowledgeable and professional. ESP always gives us the most reasonable cost estimate and they uniformly fix the problem. We have candid conversations about what repairs really NEED to be done versus which COULD be done for our older car (1997), with honest cost estimates for both. They are quick and usually have us out in less time then they predict. In some cases, the actual price has been lower than their original estimate. How often does that happen with car repair? In the last 6 years all of my interactions with ESP have been fantastic. Especially as a women, it's a relief to find a car repair place that I can trust.

When you take your vehicle in, they seem to fix what's wrong. Some places don't fix your car right. They seem to fix it right. They do good work, and they are reliable.
