Jay from Boulanger's reviewed the issue. The water heater from Home Depot was under warranty and replaced by Home Depot. Tim, from Boulanger's came in and installed the replacement in 1.5 hours at the scheduled time. He boxed up the leaky water heater which was returned to Home Depot for full replacement cost. Service was prompt and professional. The price was very reasonable,

Company was very responsive and sent a plumber out promptly to help with the issues. When the appliance delivery was delayed, Boulangers rescheduled me at once at a time of my choosing. Due to the set of issues being addressed, I needed to have several visits from the plumbers, and every time they showed up promptly when they were scheduled, took the time to listen to me about the plumbing issues, and acted quickly and expediently to fix my problems. Price was reasonable given the services. Will absolutely be calling them the next time I need a plumber.

It went well. Work performed and explained well. They said to see how this works before doing anything more expensive. I think I do need more work done (a year later) and some stuff replaced but it was nice that they suggested the least expensive option first.

They called back promptly and arrived in about one hour. The technician was excellent and personable. I plan to use them again.

My experience with them was okay. My main reaction was that it seemed really expensive. I foolishly had them install a new heating system for me seven years ago which also seemed very expensive. It was on the advice of a friend, which was foolish. My hope is not to go back to them. They did the job okay but they were really unimpressive. I woke up and my heater wasn't working. I called my plumber but he said he doesn't do heating, so out of desperation I called Boulangers, who installed the system. I wanted my heat back quickly, so I didn't really plan it. I just went to the first person I knew. All they did was replace a couple of little parts that wear out after a few years. It's a routine service.

It cost me nothing because I have a contract where you pay monthly to like an insurance policy to your heating system. He told me that it would have cost like $275 if I have not had the insurance policy. I thought that was reasonable because they had to come in kind of a hurry. It sounded okay. They were friendly and knowledgeable. I watched pretty much the whole thing. They gave me some technical information how that might happen and I thought it was very professional. If a friend asks me about them, I would tell that friend how prompt they were and how simply the problem was fixed. I would recommend them.

This company was horrible. I just bought a house and they were to have fixed a radiator that wasn't working and service the boiler before we finalized the sale. When we moved in the radiator started banging and leaking water. I called and told them to call me when they were on the way. I had just left when they came and the electrician let them in. They never called me and said they replaced the valve. The next day it was still leaking and banging. They came back and said the pipes weren't pitched properly and I needed to have the boiler serviced - though I had an invoice that they serviced the boiler in Nov. I called to talk about having them service the boiler since they had been paid for it in Nov. They were totally unprofessional and began yelling at me on the phone. I would never use them again. They wouldn't do the work they were paid for and the didn't fix the problem though they had been to the house at least 3 times. I called Hodge City Plumbing and they fixed everything in 30 min for less money!

The service was prompt, efficient and professional. I have been using Boulanger for over 25 years. They have done everything from small repairs to major installations. The work has always been excellent and at a fair price.

The plumber who worked on it was very courteous and kind. It turns out all he needed to do was turn a knob under the sink to turn the water pressure on fully (the people who had lived here before had turned it down and that's why it made the knocking sound when you tried to turn it on). He was in the house less than 5 minutes. He said that they would bill me. A week or so later, we received a bill for $140! I assumed that that was their minimum and was upset that I had forgotten to ask before they came out. $140 as a minimum charge seems really excessive, but that wasn't the worst part.
My biggest complaint was the horrendous customer service I got when I called to ask about it and see if they would reduce it. I used a kind tone and said something to the effect, "I know it's your minimum, but it's a lot of money and no one told us that that was your minimum when we made the appointment." The woman I spoke to had most snarky attitude in voice as she replied- "Well, that is our minimum, and if you had asked, you would have known." She said that it is not their policy to tell people that unless they ask - it's no wonder why! I said that we're new to the area and were hoping to use them for our plumbing needs, but now we've clearly been discouraged from doing so. She responded, "That's fine, don't use us." and hung up the phone on me.
Their minimum is $140 and their customer service is atrocious. I DO NOT recommend.

They have worked on my house for about 7 years. I like everything about them. They are highly professional, reasonably priced, and they do go work. They know what they are doing.

I like that they are very quick. The call, come and do good work. There is not much waiting and I found them to be less expensive. The quality is very high and I will continue to use them in the future.

Horrible. Thet never returned and failed to answer numeric pages that evening requiring a frantic search for a substitute plumber. They contacted me the next day: I fired them.

Our gas-fired tank water heater sprung a leak, and we had to get it replaced immediately. We called Boulangers, as they had done the gas piping for our new stove the previous year. We were quoted a total price, no breakdown for materials and labor, and no choice of tank. I inquired about this, and was told this is just how it is done. Usually, I like to consider and choose what is installed. But, since it was an emergency, I went with it (and haven't really researched the matter since, so maybe this is the way it is done, with gas-fired tank water heaters?). I was not the one at home when the water heater was installed, but my partner reported that everything went smoothly, and the installer seemed good and professional. That was that, and we went on about our lives. More lately, when preparing to have a new gas-fired steam boiler installed, we found out that the gas line to the water heater was not up to code. (Lacking precise memory, we're thinking the line was already there, not installed new by Boulangers.) It was the yellow CSST pipe (corrugated stainless steel tubing), which needs to be electrically bonded in order to be up to code, and it wasn't. Evidently, it was Boulangers' responsibility to bring this gas line up to code when they installed a new appliance to the gas line. However, Boulangers installer had not mentioned or advised on this matter, and indeed, they had not even pulled permits for the water heater installation, as required. (At the time, we were naively unaware that permits were required, as well as being know-nothings about the gas line.) If they had pulled permits, the municipal gas and plumbing inspector would have failed the job based on this gas line not being brought up to code. The out-of-code CSST gas line was replaced eight months later, during our recent steam boiler installation, by the contractor doing the steam boiler installation. His installation of the steam boiler -- for which he did properly pull permits -- would not have passed inspection if this piece of the gas line had not been brought up to code. Nevertheless, it came out during the steam boiler installation inspection that the water heater had been recently installed, and the inspector, being aware that there had been no permit, required us to call Boulangers and tell them to get a retroactive permit for the job. At latest report, Boulangers told me that they had pulled the retroactive permits, and that I would soon receive them in the mail. In conclusion, we were not unhappy with Boulangers' work originally; they seem professional enough. But after finding out about the not-up-to-code gas line situation, we were dismayed. Every one of three plumbers who quoted the steam boiler installation told us that the line should not have been left out-of-code (unbonded), because it was a safety issue. When I asked Boulangers about this during the recent communication about the retroactive permits, their answer was pretty vague, but I understood the gist to be that "opinions differ" on the safety of the unbonded CSST gas line. However, I feel that as professional plumbers and gas fitters, they should have at least advised us as to the safety issue, even if they wanted to leave us ignorant of the permitting/code requirements for their own reasons.

They do not want to work on it anymore. They seem to be baffled. So they don't know how to repair the unit. It worked fine for six years but now they can't repair it.

Total RIP-OFF! Technician failed to honor manager's request for time and labor details. Manager estimates total on-site time (based on service trucks presence) to be about 30 minutes. Invoice stated that technician found that hot water had been turned off and he turned it back on with dial. No real labor involved. Protests to company about charge were dismissed. Office manager stated that it was Saturday and they get minimum of 2 hours on weekend-@ $130/hour. Research indicates normal area service calls range from $80 to $120 on weekends- and nobody charges automatic 200%. Exorbitant inflated price for the simplest of jobs. I will never recommend this company to anyone and am disgusted with their utter disregard for circumstances.

They don?t seem to overcharge. They are very prompt and responsive especially in an emergency situation. So far their work has been good.
