+ -1 moreIf you need something from a hardware store, try the mom and pop places first... except JUSTICE HARDWARE in East Weymouth. I called this store and asked for something very specific in which they told me they carried. When I got there the gentleman (shouldn’t even use that word because he was rude as ****- old man with glasses), told me that they carried the pieces but I would not “be able to do it myself”, after looking me up and down and laughing under his breath. The other gentleman looking for the pieces that I needed was very friendly and offered to help while the old rude man stood between him and I, belittling me. He kept saying, “she’s never done this before, she can’t do it.” Mind you, all I wanted was to replace the screen myself, not that hard!!! AND, I have done it before!! But because he had such horrible bedside manners I told him I wasn’t going to spend my money there. He 100% made this comment because I am a woman and scoffed at me, confirming my assumption when I called him out for being a completely sexist POS. What a **** shame to WANT to support small businesses only to be berated by a chauvinist Donkey.

We hired him to install screens on all the windows of the first floor of our new home, which the previous owners inexplicably took with them. He was friendly, prompt, communicative and did exceptional work. The screens are perfect and the price was unexpectedly low.

Description of Work: JUSTICE HARDWARE IS LOCATED IN JACKSON SQUARE IN WEYMOUTH, MA. WE HAD 2 SCREEN DOOR INSERTS AND 1 STORM DOORS INSERTS REDONE. THE SCREENS WERE DONE IN A WEEK AS PROMISED. THE STORM DOOR INSERT WAS ANOTHER STORY ENTIRELY. THEY WERE TO REPLACE THE SCRATCHED CLEAR ACRYLIC SHEET WITH A NEW ONE. THE ESTIMATE WAS 2 WEEKS, MAYBE A BIT LONGER. A ENTIRE SPRING AND SUMMER PASSED BEFORE THE DOOR WAS READY. IT WAS DONE A WEEK AFTER I ASKED IF I COULD HAVE IT BACK, AND GET A REFUND. JUSTICE HARDWARE IS A NICE LITTLE HARDWARE STORE THAT I GO TO WHEN I'M LOOKING FOR SOMETHING SPECIFIC OR WANT TO "BUY LOCAL" INSTEAD OF AT THE CHAINS. THE BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THE STORM DOOR HAS HURT MY FREQUENCY OF STOPPING IN THERE.
