Pioneer Garage Doors

I contacted 3 other companies in an attempt to get the broken/defective "pulley" fixed. Can hear the motor running but was not engaging the door. 2 of the three companies that stopped by came in sale mode. They wanted to sell me a new system and either claimed that it could not be fixed or that it would cost me as much to fix it than getting a new system. Wrong! Pioneer Garage Door Co. was able to send Steve the same day that I called. Steve replaced the defective part, greased where needed and replaced a light bulb. He even helped me program the keypad. All was done within 1 hour, at a decent price. That is how you do business: with professionalism, honesty and some integrity. Thank you! Also, when I called to make an appointment and spoke to Liz, I also asked about the price range on a new system and their prices were still below the others, with installation. In the near future, when we decide to go with a new "state of the art" system, Pioneer Garage Door Co. will get the call.

I contacted Pioneer Garage Door, on Monday afternoon(4/18/2016) regarding my garage door opener running but not driving the belt assembly and subsequently not opening or closing my garage door. They scheduled an appointment for the next between 1:00-3:00PM and Steve came right on time after giving me a call about 30 minutes before to let me know he was on his way. 
It took Steve about five minutes to figure out that the main gear in the garage door opener was damaged due to someone previously hitting the garage door and causing it not to smoothly go up and down. This, in turn, caused the motor to work harder which resulted in the damage to the gear that drove the belt to open and close the garage door.  It was more than evident that Steve had a ton of experience in garage door repair and new exactly what needed to be fixed. 
I was particularly pleased that he wasn't just satisfied with replacing the gear. He investigated every aspect of the garage door, pulleys, springs and other components to determine what led to the damage in the first place. Since we had only recently purchased the house we, really had no idea of the history of the house or what might have lead to the garage door opener being damaged.
In addition to repairing to the garage door opener motor, he fixed and adjusted the door as well.

Responded promptly to initial inquiry. Came with brochures for choosing doors and motors. Explained pluses and minuses of each option, as well as pricing. No pressure to choose one or another. Provided detailed proposal once we agreed on system. Arrived on time, worked hard, did a fully professional job of installation and cleanup. Explained everything, answered all questions. Even provided filled-out rebate forms for the motors. Provides follow-up service if problems develop or if fine-tuning needed. We are completely satisfied with the system and with Pioneer.
