They mowed the lawn reasonably well on the assigned schedule but we had repeated instances of incorrect billing (always over). It was necessary to keep careful tabs on when they did or did not come and cross check against the bill (which did not include dates of service, only number of visits per month). At a minimum their record keeping is poor. We had been given a written estimate of $300 for a fall cleanup that included 2 visits, one in late October and one in late November. Instead they came in late October and again in mid November (approximately 2 weeks later). At the time of the second visit the leaves had not finished falling, and as result our yard was soon covered with leaves again. He had also agreed to take away some sticks and branches at the time of the cleanup which he did not do. We received a bill for $390, almost 25% more than the estimate. Because service rendered was not as described, we offered to settle for $250. After many emails and phone calls with no response for months, he finally replied (in February 2015) with "Send a check or I will see you in court".

THIS SERVICE WAS FAR SUPERIOR TO OTHERS I HAVE USED IN TERMS OF RESPONSIVENESS AND STAYING ON SCHEDULE, DESPITE THE WEATHER. JOHN ALSO TAKES THE TIME TO LET YOU KNOW IF HE OBSERVES PROBLEMS, AND TO EXPLAIN WHAT HE IS DOING AND WHY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. HE ALSO PROVIDES OTHER SERVICES, WHICH I DIDN'T NEED OR USE, BUT ASSUME WOULD BE DELIVERED WITH THE SAME LEVEL OF QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM.
