My family and I actually went on a camping trip about mid-way through the job and when we returned we were delighted to see that most of the work had been completed and a gorgeous new bay window was lighting up our living room when there had just been a blank wall there prior to our departure.
He is a personable guy and enjoyable to be around. He was always happy to see our kids and it wasn't long after meeting him that we knew he was someone we could trust with our home while we were away. He always maintained good communication and presented us with our quote and stuck to his price despite unforeseen expenses on his end. He was a professional in every way, an excellent contractor with fine attention to detail and a great work ethic and he will certainly be welcome to perform more work in our home very soon.
In fact, we invited him to provide quotes on some future work we have in store and will be contacting him in the very near future to get started on these plans!

Simple remodel, not as simple as we thought!
Cut-up and removed old Jacuzzi tub, strengthen floor rafters [previous builder had cut 4" holes through all for a dryer hose], John "sistered" in new rafters. Removed and trashed toilet and vanity. Cut top layer of floor to remove old linoleum, and replaced with thicker underlayment. Installed a new small closet to avoid having shower plumbing in outside wall [had to be clever and accurate as we have radiant heating in ceiling. Installed 4' Sterling shower and an exhaust fan and light [now required by code]. Had to have roofer come and install fan exhaust through roof as new insulated pipe wouldn't allow exit under eves. Electrician had to remove all wiring from old Jacuzzi and add new wiring for fan [new arc-breaker installed in fuse box - another code addition]. Plumber cut-out all original supply and septic pipes and replaced with new plastic supply lines and straight septic lines. Sheetrock installer installed new sheetrock and re-pop corned the whole ceiling to blend. Vinyl floor installer installed new flooring. Plumber installed new toilet, shower and vanity valves [tedious job of calibrating temperature restrictions on valves, hot water heater and even in the other bathroom [more new codes].
Everything came out great and John even managed to move our project up in time to insure that it was ready in time for Christmas family visits.
There is no such thing as a simple bathroom remodel. With new building codes, an electrician, plumber, roofer, floor installer, sheetrock hanger, builder and crew, three visits by building inspector, two by plumbing inspector and two by electrical inspector, you need an incredibly organized and experienced builder. John did an excellent job in communicating with us and his subs.
If you are going to do a bathroom remodel, you better have a builder like Engineered Home Solutions.
The tenant noted that during the window installation, he was very respectful of him and his family and did an excellent job.
