Sales person made appointment to give me an estimate within a few days of initial request for a quote. Had quote in hand via email the next day. Received written quote shortly thereafter. Once decision to engage GMH was made, the installation team was able to start installation after approximately two weeks. The installation was top notch with friendly and professional workman. Materials used are of high quality and should last a long time. This company is excellent to do business with, and their price and service was the best of the companies I solicited for a quote.

Initially the process started out good. They came the second week of November to measure and write up an estimate. I wasn't 100% sure about the layout that I wanted so I took a few weeks after the estimate to decide and send the deposit. Once I sent the deposit it took 5 weeks until they could come to install. A week before the install someone from the office called stating that my payment was past due. When I asked "Payment for what?" she said "your fence". I told her the fence wasn't installed yet and I was still waiting. She apologized for her mistake. When the day of my install arrived (late December) the team arrived as scheduled and reviewed the paperwork with me. I saw an error on the layout sketch so I corrected him and he said "ok no problem". I wasn't told ahead of time how long the install would take and at the end of the first day the team just left without any explanation if/when they'd be back. When I went outside to look for the installers I noticed they had put one of the posts in the wrong place (which was the exact error I tried to correct them on when they first arrived). I had to call the office to tell them about the mistake. The next day was bad weather so they didn't come back until a few days later. I reminded them that one of the posts was in the wrong spot so they had to dig it up and put it back in the right place. So about two additional hours was added to the job. The whole install took four full days spread out over two weeks. Which caused significant inconvenience for me. Once the job was done the installers mentioned in passing that the posts for one of the gates were a little too close together so they had to cut away part of the latch. That was fine in the cold weather but once the spring came the posts shifted more and we could barely open the latch anymore. I called the office to ask if they could come out to look at it and she said they would but no one ever came. I ended up finding someone else to fix the latch issue.

10 out of 10 from the estimate to the work completion. Everyone was easy to communicate with and the work crew was here on time and displayed great workmanship. They were quick, precise and extremely friendly. In the future when we add more fencing there will be no other company I call.

Everything went very well. GMH showed up on time performed the work and left the job site better than they found it

OMG! What can I say. I called them on a Monday to say I needed a quote for the fencing and it was urgent as I was going out of town on a contract. The office got Matt out to me the next day by 1:00pm and he even showed up 15 minutes early. He was straight forward, no games, discussed what I needed and what the options were. I had the quote delivered by email within 3 hours. The quote was $300 less than other quotes. I was able to call back to discuss installation and they actually put the fence in completely a day later! I was on the road by then, and therefore not only was I not at home while the work was being done, I wasn't even contactable. My family came home and couldn't believe the fence was already up, the yard was completely clean and tidy and the fence was perfect. The whole experience was great, and impressive that even when I was not around and out of town, it all went so well and how trustworthy and professional they were.

We were scheduled to have them start at 8:30AM and they actually arrived an hour early, which turned out just as well as those guys put in a full eight hours tearing down half of our old fence and installing the new half!
They were very polite and professional, and in a couple of instances where the installation was a little tricky, due to large trees on our property, they asked us how we wanted that piece of the installation done before they did it, which we appreciated.
They cleaned up after themselves before they left for the day, even the sawdust(!) and we were very happy with the job that they did! The new fence looks awesome, and we have had several compliments from the neighbors. We will definitely be calling them next Spring/Summer to do the remainder of the fence!

Glenn came to look at the job to be done. Received a quote 2 days after. Price was very competitive. Crew came and did an excellent job. Very professional, very clean and courteous. Can only highly recommend the company.

It was excellent. They were expert at dealing with a difficult neighbor. Glenn Hastie is very professional and knowledgeable. He was on time, and didn't up charge me or anything. He was excellent. He was a referral through a surveyor who was an excellent referral.

We were very happy with this company. Glenn knew I was due to have a baby in a few weeks so he expedited the work to accommodate our timeline. Everyone on the team was very professional and the end product looks amazing.

We learned about GMH Fence Co, from two different friends. Our friends were correct: GMH is fantastic!
GMF is family run. They have a brand new store location in East Longmeadow.
My wife and I visited their store to explore the possibility of fencing in our backyard. GMH explained some options which we were thinking about. We decided on a vinyl panel fence with a decorative top.
One of the GMH family members came to our house and measured where the fence might go. He gave options and, when questioned, offered advice.

Three GMH workers (including another family member) later fenced in our backyard mostly in one day. The backyard slopes, so we were surprised at how well the fence was put in.
The finished fence isn't going anywhere. GMH actually brought a small cement mixer. After digging the holes for the fence posts, GMH placed and leveled the posts, then poured the cement. GMH also shifted some dirt around (from the dug holes) and disposed of the remainder.

All the GMH workers were professional and took pride in their work. One of the family members came back just to check on the work.

The entire process, from picking the type of of fence we wanted, to having the fence put in took about 3 to 4 weeks.
We would recommend GMH to anyone.

I called for GMH to come out and measure for my fence. They were here the very next day measuring. I received a quote on the spot. We agreed to an install date and they were at my house on the promised day. The fence is exactly what we agreed to and it looks great! I received 2 other quotes from different companies but GMH was the least expensive and did high quality work. My dogs are happy as can be running around and playing outside.
Update: 2 weeks after I had the fence installed, we had a freak snow storm that knocked down a huge tree that crushed 1/2 of my new fence. I was devastated. I called GMH to come repair the fence and they were able to fit me in and repaired it within a few days of me calling. A+++++ customer service and great work!

I requested a quote, a salesman came out. He gave me some ideas I didn't think about with the gate I wanted installed. I had sent my deposit in at the end of May and didn't hear from them. I had to always call to get an update to when my fence was going to be installed. It was not scheduled till the end of June (which I thought was a long time but it is their busy season). With all the rain, the project got delayed but was never given an estimated install date. I kept calling to get updated and I was always referred to the salesperson (which I felt they were just coming up with excuses). I think they should look at this process going forward. I finally got a call to tell me they were coming out tomorrow. The project was delayed 2 weeks but it did come out nice.

they did ever thing they said they would do, plus a spiecal part to connect into block wall of patio. at no extra cost. on time for everything.

I thought I wasn’t going to need to write this review, as I am a supporter of local family business. I hired this company, GMH, after a free estimate, great presentation. Their estimate was not the lowest price, however the way the estimator presented the company and how reliable they were, helped me make the decision to go with them.
The day of installation two workers showed up the Saturday as agreed, so far so good. The workers started to install the fence. Not too long after they arrived, one of the workers expressed many times being in a hurry to finish before the liquor store close.
The same worker broke two pipes and as water was coming out, he carelessly continued and just poured cement in the hole. This happened twice. One of the workers was obviously upset at the company (GMH) owners as he disclosed extremely personal and private information about them.
I had to stay outside supervising these people the whole time they were doing the job, because the workers were in such a hurry to leave that I was afraid they were going to keep braking stuff and then I’d be in trouble with the city. Several of the posts were cut instead of making a deeper hole, just to hurry up. They (GMH) installed the gate lock incorrectly and didn’t realize it until the post was already installed with cement. They refused to fix it then and told me they would come back. I asked them to call me before coming over my house. Well, they didn’t call me. They came to my house while I wasn’t there and cut the previous post and installed a new one, I’m sure they didn’t get rid of the cement they initially poured, as my gate AND post are loose, just shy of
a month of installation. My gate won’t close unless I push the post to the side.
I have called this company (GMH) so many times I lost count, I have gone to their office twice and still no response from that friendly estimator (one of the owners) that initially said they were so reliable. It’s been over a month and GMH is still missing. I
will never use this company again and will make sure that no family, friend or coworker use their services.

Mike Hastie and team designed and installed a bakcyard fence solution that consisted of vinyl picket, vinyl privacy and chainlink which was ideal for the home. Great service and an honest team with no high pressure sales tactics like others in the market. They are a true family business with Mike and his dad caring about the customers satisfaction.

They did a great job. We did have one stuff problem that takes about six months and they came right out and took care of it.
