Fencing Service
Thomas Davis, proprietor of Davis Construction, entered into an oral contract with us in May '07 to construct a privacy fence in our backyard. He was given money to purchase the materials. The project was estimated to take three days. Mr. Davis failed to install the fence and refuses to return our money. In addition, in July '07 he removed our existing fence and hauled it away leaving our yard entirely open and unsuitable for our two dogs. This has decreased the overall value of our property. Although Mr. Davis lives across the street, he avoids contact with us at all costs. In May '08 we sent him a 30-day demand letter requesting return of our money or performance of the service, but he has not responded to our attempts to settle this matter. We are forced to take legal action against him to be made whole by his unfair and deceptive business practices.
