Very well. It was going to be an expensive repair and the owner gave me several options to manage costs. Owner was very professional and stayed in contact. He wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with work and costs - which I was.

John completed a fabulous job. The rear patio he designed is neat, well done and a huge improvement. I would definitely hire him for further work if needed. (I wrote a previous review before we had lived with the patio and just wanted to be sure that everyone knew how much we liked the project.)

The contractor and I looked over a couple areas in our yard to locate the patio. After finally settling on a location, it looked appropriate to enlarge scope of the space, I also had some landscape and Masonsry repair add-on's I wanted to include. I received a written quote and felt the additional cost was a bit on the high side but wanted to get the project(s) completed. The weather delayed the project but aside from that, the contractor was timely in completing the job. The drawback was that the final cost came in significantly higher than the $1,500 deal and I have to redistribute all of the soil removed and pushed into the wooded lot for the grading of the patio area. I like the finished area and the quality of the work is good. Some of the additional patio work was necessary (installing access covers for septic) but that and the additional patio area was rather pricy, (in my opinion). The other work requested was also completed timely and was of good quality too. The price for replacing 6 bricks in my front steps @$300 left me scratching my head though. Overall I am very pleased with the quality and timely completion but still a lot of cleanup to do on my part.

John came by at the agreed upon time and looked over the job. He sent me a reasonable estimate that evening and we scheduled the job. He showed up on time and completed the job. His brick repointing was perfect. No cement on the bricks and no mess anywhere. He covered my basement work areas in tarps and warned me about the possibility of brick/mortar dust. After he finished the brick repointing, he noticed areas of missing cement in my field stone bulkhead entrance and the water/dampness in the cellar left after a rainy day. He asked if I would be interested in getting that repaired as well. I had been wrestling with that problem for more than a decade and was glad to have someone so good with cement repairs and knowledgeable about water seepage to take a look at it. John came up with a plan, gave me an estimate and made the repair to the field stone entrance and laid piping from the downspout underground at an incline emptying away from the house. You would never have known that he had dug up and installed the pipe, as he left it in very good condition (tidier than he found it). John also repaired the old bulkhead wooden steps - leveling them and adding a sturdy step at the bottom. I am very satisfied with my experience with John. He is skilled, very professional and a pleasure to work with. I will recommend John to friends without reservation and will contact him if I have any brick, stone or masonry work to be done in the future.

John was a pleasure to work with and did excellent masonary work! During a consultation he was knowledgeable and helped to answer my questions. He promptly provided a reasonable estimate soon after. His work was exemplary! Our brickwork outside our home needed to be repaired. He repointed the loose brick joints and caulked the top joint. He also sealed the side and front steps a month later. Inside our home he helped enhance the look of our brick fireplace by applying a sealer with sheen. I would highly recommend John for any of my friends and family who need masonary work done!
