Dry Cleaning Service
This is absolutely the worst "alterations" shop I have ever been aware of. Honestly, if you value your wedding dress, you will take it elsewhere.
My best friend's wedding dress is currently being held hostage by this "shop". She took it here at the advice of some "friends". (eyeroll, yeah, some friends they are!) She has twenty-eight days until her wedding.
Two weeks ago, her and I went for her "final fitting". A 45!minute drive. When we arrived, the woman who owns the shop acknowledged that she had an appointment for her final fitting that day, but said that she was "two days behind" and my friend was going to have to come back in a week, the day before the shop owner was to leave for a month-long vacation in Brazil. We did have my friend try the dress on during that visit, and, much to her surprise - the dress needed a little more taking in. So, we left without much of a complaint, even though her dress should have been done by now.
A week ago - she went back. "Still not done." Again, no phone call to change the appointment. AND - remember - the shop owner is going on vacation to Brazil. "I'll have my sister finish the dress."
Today - My friend went to pick up the dress. It should have been done. The sash was not sewn on the dress. Really? She tried it on. Not only is it now taken in two full inches too much, but it is three inches too short. AND STILL "NOT FINISHED."
Right, because now the dress is ruined. The woman (the owner's sister - because now the owner is off on her Brazilian vacation!) offered to "sew the lace back on to make it longer" - but! let's be honest, you CANNOT sew lace back on and have it look "right", nor can you let a dress out two full inches without some sort of issue.
BUYER BEWARE! This place is a chop shop for wedding dresses. Go elsewhere!!!
