Jim Holloway and Rick Shea are completely without integrity, unreliable and unprofessional. They will take your money and move on to another job so that your only choice is to WAIT for them to show up and not to hire someone new. DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS.
When we met them for the estimate we thought them to be friendly, interested in our needs and their prices to be fair. They took money in JULY 2011 to start our projects to be finished at the latest in mid - August. We are patient people and understand that other jobs come before ours and were very easy going at first. However, we would call and would be promised a visit or return call and Jim wouldn't show up.
Jim did show up in mid - August to collect another third of the money with a promise to be there that week. Jim and Rick did not show up. By early September we were frustrated to say the least. Jim and Rick would blame rain (for an indoor job) and then blame something else.
When they finally came in mid-September, presumably with the work finished in the shop and being brought over - parts of it were all wrong and they had not even started to build other parts. They left us in mid-September with the jobs unfinished..just finished enough and more money from us with a promise to return that week to finish....they didn't.
THEN part of their work broke! They did some carpentry work and some home theatre wiring. The home theatre did not work and Jim refused to come back and fix it or replace it.
Jim has spent hours fighting with and LYING TO my husband about what he said he would do. They advertise in Duxbury and all along the South Shore. DO NOT HIRE JIM HOLLOWAY OR RICK SHEA YOU WILL BE FRUSTRATED AT BEST AND CERTAINLY DISAPPOINTED.
