Arthur Maxfield

The windows arrived later than originally expected, however I had this done at the busiest time of year, right before Thanksgiving. They were done in 4 days, contiguous. I was home one day while they were working, and Arthur took the time to demonstrate what he was doing and why. He had even rigged up a special tool to pull insulation into the window weight voids. I feel confident that he did a thorough job. Other quotes were either cheaper or faster, but I suspected that these other companies cut corners. I think it is worth it to take the time and do the job properly. The windows really look lovely, and operated wonderfully. They took their time, doing 4-5 windows a day which I think was worth it, knowing that they were doing the job properly. I was suspicious of companies that claimed they would do all the windows in one day. Arthur was responsive, trustworthy and did what he said he would do. I did have to ask him to replace some of the old trim which had cracked during installation (house is 110 years old) and ask him to replace some button head screws with flats. (he originally re-used the existing screws) But when I pointed it out he replaced them immediately. I am very, very happy with his work, and would recommend him to anybody.
