Royal Contracting

Dermot did a great job.  Jumped right in, took more time then the big deal that I purchased, the window was more rotted out then could tell from the outside.  Quality of work was great, cleaned up pretty well, found a few nails and debris outside, but nothing too bad.  Overall pleased with having him here and would hire him again in the future.

He was very good. He put stain the railings. He was very professional. They price was good.

Dermot McElligott and his crew exceeded all expectations. Dermot returned our calls promptly and scheduled and rescheduled with ease. The work was excellent in all respects and done in a very timely manner. Everyone was very pleasant and professional. We were kept informed of their plans as some work was done off site. They cleaned up after the projects in the house and outside. We would recommend Royal Contracting very highly and we expect to use them again when the need arises.

Dermott was puntual to for the appointment for the estimate of the job. Has completed a portion of the job and the work is excellent. The remainder of the job will be completed in the Spring.

We thought it went well, and we are pleased with the results. We were on a tight schedule with company coming at the beginning of November, and they met the deadline. They were punctual and communication about various aspects of the job went well. Dermot seemed to understand what we needed, and was responsive about our concerns. Fabio, who did a lot of the painting, worked very hard and was very pleasant to work with. Dermot brought in some electricians who did a nice job with the recessed lighting. They all cleaned up after the job was done. We are enjoying our home more now that the projects are done.

The door closer works as it should, the drywall project is part one of two, but feel good about the repairs so far. The baseboards we were both disappointed in. It was the product that we had purchased not the contractors fault about how it ended up. He did offer suggestions on what to do in the future and let me know what it would entail.

I would rate them as A for excellent.  Fabio was fantastic.  He did everything that I asked him to do and couldn’t have been more polite and courteous.  He was very professional and cleaned up after every job that he did for me. I had him take down a cabinet in the bathroom and installed a new one and he painted the bathroom wall after he removed the old cabinet and before he installed the new one.  He also put shelving up for me in a kitchen closet and put hardware and rods up in my bedroom.  Royal Contracting was very prompt in returning my phone call and Fabio arrived on time.  I would definitely hire this company for future work.

I am v. happy with the work they did. Both carpenters were thorough, knowledgeable, efficient and took pride in their work. They arrived on time, worked hard, cleaned up and were v. pleasant. They didn't blast music while they worked, etc. I would definitely use them in the future. Fabio was especially good.

Royal Contracting was professional in every aspect you would expect. I am totally satisfied with their work and promptness and would highly recommend them.

It went okay. The contractor was responsive and job was done on time.

There were additional costs with the Big Deal. Scheduling the Big Deal was easy and everything turned out fine.

It worked out well. We would use them again. Both the quality and the professionalism were very good.

They were good. The only thing that I did not like about them was their four-hour minimum. There was nothing sensational about them but it was to the point where I just got something done. I would probably not use them again in the future.

Purchased Angie's Big Deal for handyman service 4hours. one worker did several jobs around house. Went well.

Very neat, and detailed oriented. Scoped out what he had to do. He did a good job overall on all of my to do list.

It went well.  I did have to call them a second time due to big areas of rot still remaining especially in the back of the house.
The issue could have been in setting better expectations with them about fixing not only the porch but also the beck of the house. Either way the job would not have fit into the original purchase. I would reccomend them

I purchased a 4-hour Handyman Deal on July 8 from Royal Contracting in Dedham.  Mr. McElligott called on July 9th to ask what I wanted to have done.  After giving him a list, he said he would contact me in two weeks.  I followed up with an email listing the work that needed to be done.  On 7/12 he called to see if he could come the following day, however, that did not work for me.  On 7/22 he called to come the following day, which I agreed to, then realized later that I had several appointments.  I called him, but I was coerced into doing it, however, reluctantly I agreed.  I had to leave him in my house, something I don?t normally do, and cancelled one of my appointments.
 The work was done to my satisfaction.  The only problem is that the appointments were short-notice-no options for other dates,  this is the reason for the "B" for responsiveness.

Fabio was fantastic! He completed each task quickly and correctly, asking "What's next?" with a smile whenever he finished. He breezed through tasks it would have taken me half a day to do. Definitely worth every penny. He arrived on time early in the morning and stayed 9 hours--don't even think he took any break for lunch or a drink (don't know how he did it)! When we needed supplies from Home Depot for a job, he accurately described what was needed, but he mostly used his own supplies.

He was exceptional and performed high quality work.
