Regan Painting

Michael had to work around late season cold and rainy weather and old wood. This also required much ladder climbing. He did an excellent job under rather difficult conditions. We are very pleased with how it turned out. He also gave us a Senior Citizen discount, which was appreciated very much and is reflected in the price below.

Regan Painting scheduled our job as promised and completed the painting in a timely fashion.  Because we did not need the entire exterior of our house repainted, Michael fit our job into his schedule while painting  another house on the same street as ours, which worked out perfectly for both of us.  He went over and above the amount of painting we had contracted for, at no extra charge.  We would not hesitate to hire Regan Painting again in the future.  Michael was a pleasure to work with.

Punctual, professional and courteous.  Mike and his partner did excellent work, replacing rotted out boards and broken downspouts before painting. Also stained the deck.

Mike was as pleasant as always.  Came when scheduled. The deck and gutter was not in the initial quote and he did the work and did not increase the price.  This is my second time using Regan for painting.  Previously painted my interior.  I wanted a red door that needed a number of coats but I love how it came out with my black shutters and the white house.  Thanks Mike .

Michael and Alex were very diligent, responsive and helpful.  They were very pleasant to be around.  When there was a problem with the front door getting stuck closed, Michael came back to fix it for no additional charge.  I would definitely use them again.

Contacted through Angie's List, received immediate call back.  Promptly came to look at work.  Sent estimate within a couple of days via mail. We agreed on a start date.  Showed up on time.  First worked on Sunroom, repaired sheet rock, poly wood, painted ceiling, walls, doors and trim. Second day, Alex arrived with Michael. stripped wallpaper, repaired walls, painted ceiling, closets, trim and walls in first bedroom.  Michael continued working on sunroom.  Third day, Michael painted ceiling, closet and walls in 2nd bedroom.  As Alex continued second coat in first bedroom.  Fourth day finishing touches on all rooms.

Definitely using them again.  Already set up to have outside of house painted in Spring/Summer.

Michael is a terrific housepainter and carpenter, we can not recommend him highly enough.  He has maintained our 130 year-old Victorian home for nearly 10 years.  He is extremely reliable, punctual and thorough -- and affordable!  We have had several housepainters over the past two decades, but MIchael is far and above the best.  He will work within your budget and get the job done, on time.  He's an extremely efficient painter but does not sacrifice quality for speed.  MIchael often will come by and attend to small items for us, gratis, too, which is way and beyond the call of duty.  You can not go wrong with hiring him for both exterior and interior work -- he has done all types for us.   He also is a skilled carpenter and can repair anything from a sagging garage roof to a broken porch.  He also will do gutter cleaning and repair work. You're in good hands with Regan Painting for anything related to house painting, carpentry or repairs.

Michael and Alex just finished painting our house today!  They were professional and great to work with.  Michael gave us an estimate on the same day that he came out to look at the job, and came in with a considerably lower estimate than other painters who spent less time assessing what needed to be done.  Michael and Alex worked quickly and neatly, and paid a lot of attention to the details of our house.  They were very patient with me when I was slow to pick final colors (big decision!), helped to swatch the colors on the house, and made helpful suggestions. 
Michael was very communicative throughout the process, and asked questions to assure that he was doing what we wanted each step of the way.  He did several things that weren't in the original estimate at no extra cost, because he thought they would improve the overall look of the house (Painting the storm window frames a different color, painting the front storm door).
Overall, our experience with Regan Painting was exceptional, and we will certainly use them again!

They were great! Michael responded very quickly and went over what was to be done. I felt the price was very reasonable and he made some good suggestions. He and Alex started earlier than planned and finished in a reasonable amount of time (it rained a lot). The painting came out great, it looks like a new house, we are thrilled with the job. Michael and Alex were very professional and were concerned with our privacy and not being obtrusive. I would recommend them to anyone.

Michael and his coworker Alex did an excellent job, I highly recommend them.  They were able to start painting our house quickly & finished the job quickly as well.  Unless the weather was bad, they were there every day, all day.  They were agreeable to anything we discussed & did extra work for a great price (repairing wood on garage that was rotted, painting fence).  They are both very nice guys to work with & incredibly professional.  We are very happy with the finished product.

Can't praise Michael Regan's company enough. Most of us assume that there are going to be bumps in the road on a job as large as ours but I can honestly say it was nothing but a pleasure to work with Michael.  He is honest, professional,  friendly, consistent and communicative (underscore communicative---something many contractors aren't!).  His bid was more than reasonable for the work he did...and he did some extras that we didn't even ask for.

Also, We had two kinds of weird mildew growing on our house and Michael and crew literally hand-bleached/washed it off so as to get it all off before painting. . We are not talking about a little area--we are talking about 2 sides of a very large building. We were floored. He also added extra coats of paint where needed. He was knowledgeable about how to get the best results.

We never worried about anything and the job looks beautiful. If  we had another house, we would contract with him in a heart-beat. And if we do need indoor work, he's top on our list. 

Michael was fantastic. Very prompt, friendly, and professional. The painting was very well done. The previous owner had done a very sloppy job. There were many cracks and uneven spots. Michael did a fantastic job in dealing with these and other issues.

It went well, they did a good job and did it in a timely fashion, and without much or any interruption to our daily lives. When asked to also stain the back stairs thry were able to do that as well. The price was very reasonable as well.

Mike did a great job.  He is fast and efficient and professional.  The rooms look great!  He got everything done in 2 1/2 days!

Michael delivered what he had promised.
He offered his advice on the colors and he made sure that the job was professorially done.
I found out that he had to commute over 50 miles every day but he never came later than 8:00. He was meticulous with cleaning every night.. I was impressed with his honesty and professionalism. 
After his work was done we decided to change the color in one wall. I contacted him and he came back to repaint the wall using a special made color that he had to figure out.

Michael is a pleasure to work with.  Very prompt, fairly priced, and he does good work.  I been working with Michael for about 5 years and he never fails.

We can't speak highly enough of Michael. The experience was great from beginning to end. We first heard about Michael from a neighbor,  who raved about him and the fact that they had had their house painted many times in the past, but that it just kept peeling a couple of years after it had been painted. They said that after Michael had painted the house, it was no longer peeling. This is quite a claim to make, because it's my understanding that if a house is painted poorly the first time, it will always peel, but, as my house also peels very soon after having been painted, we were interested in this recomendation. We found out that other people in our neighborhood had also used Michael and everyone we spoke to gave him glowing reviews. I called Michael and he responded very promptly with an estimate, which was lower than the other estimates that I got. Normally I would not go with the lowest estimate, but since I had received such rave reviews, we went with Michael and am so glad we did! Due to weather concerns, Michael was not able to start immediately but kept me informed of the status of the jobs ahead of mine. He called me a couple of days ahead of when he could start our house, and indeed showed up the morning that he said he would. The first day he had a helper, but from then on he worked alone. He was very careful in sanding and scraping the house and cleaned up immaculately every day before he went home. He worked diligently, came every day (including Saturday), and finished the job within a week.  My house looks beautiful!  Michael is a pleasure to work with; a very honest, decent, and gentle  man. Call him! You'll be glad you did.
