PRECISION SOUND

We have had alarms installed on our vehicles since 1990. When you buy a services from Precision Sound you buy a professional and reliable installation. I had an alarm and remote installed from Precision Sound back in 2000, 2 years ago the remote start started to fail. I took the vehicle to Precision Sound to se if I need and updated system, Instead and without any hesitation on of the guys reprogram the alarm and it started to work again and did not charge me anything; it was not do to the alarm having issues, but it was because the 18 year old car was taking longer to start. Real honest people! Today in 2020, everything still works great. Had and other alarm installed on an other vehicle last year, and having my father install one on his vehicle this week.

It went amazingly. they ended up coming in under the original quote and have been loving being able to start my car in the mornings

I was a few minutes early for the appointment but the store was open so I went in. The first thing the manager (owner? Not sure) said to me was that they were not open yet. His tone made me feel unwelcome. In general, he was grouchy for the initial discussions about the work. Later he apologized for being grouchy, saying that he was tired and not had his coffee yet. (Indeed he was more polite and friendly later in the day when I picked up the car.) He got to work right away. I was amazed at how quickly he had the car apart. After a few minutes, my taxi had not yet arrived so I was still in his waiting room, and he came out of the shop to tell me about some problems he had found with the previous installation. After some discussion, we agreed that he should remove and repair what he had to so that the installation would be correct. After a few minutes, my cab arrived and I left. I was called about 3 PM and told the work was done, so I returned and got my car. The manager came out to the car with me and explained some things about the installation, which was nice. (Especially since it was raining very hard so he got a bit wet.) The new CD changer and antenna work fine and I am happy with the technical work. A day or two later, I noticed that the leather on the center console had been creased badly in one place, apparently as a result of removing it for access to the radio wiring. The manager did not mention this to me and I was disappointed when I saw it. If my car were newer or in more pristine condition, this would be more distressing; as it is, I can live with it. Also, when I was putting away the shipping materials and so forth, I found that the shipping screws had not been saved and returned to me. I had given the store a note specifically asking that this be done. It was emphasized in the installation instructions that the shipping screws must be removed from the unit before use, and should be saved for later use if the unit needed shipment for repair. A specially marked bag was provided for this purpose, so the installer would have seen the bag and been reminded of this. As it is I do not know if the screws were removed (I would have to remove the unit from its mounting to check). I do not know what if any damage or other disadvantage might be caused if the shipping screws were not removed as specified. This was very disappointing, especially because I left a note specifically asking for this to be done. This is the reason I give them a ?C? for responsiveness and one of the reasons for the C in professionalism. Otherwise, the work was apparently done well and the units perform satisfactorily.
