Consumers beware! We were swindled by this contractor. After paying this contractor a substantial amount of money, he abandoned our job. He abandoned our job on November 21, 2019, leaving us with a house with no electricity, no plumbing, no kitchen, missing windows, unfinished stairs, unfinished floors, unfinished tiling, no baseboards, no interior doors, no window trims, unfinished deck, unfinished roof, unfinished balcony, an unfinished basement with a huge hole in the basement concrete floor, unfinished siding, unpaid subcontractors, construction debris, and an unfinished driveway that he also damaged. Although we paid him according to our contract, he repeatedly asked that we pay for items he was responsible for, as advance payments to him. He stated we could subtract any advance payments provided to him from the "end of work payment". Desperate to move the work along, we stupidly agreed to several of these requests, which included advance payments to him, advance payments in the form of purchasing construction materials that he was responsible to purchase, advance payments to pay subcontractors that he was responsible to pay, we even paid for the removal of construction debris. The last check given to him was an advance payment of $6000.00, which he requested to purchase materials to help complete our job. Feeling desperate to move the work along, we once again agreed and paid him. In fact, when asking for this money, he sent his entire crew to work on our home, telling us he was prepared to have his crew focus solely on completing our job, so we can finally move back into our home. However, as soon as the check cleared, the crew diminished, and he never provided the materials, a few weeks later he abandoned the job. It was our dream to renovate our home, and we worked hard to be able to finally do the renovation. He turned our dream into a complete nightmare.

Top notch work throughout, extremely responsive. We scheduled the work to be done while we were out of town and even though we were gone, Luis kept us apprised of everything. No surprises and all the work was done by the time we got home. I would definitely use Luis again!

Professional service.THe job was completed in a timely fashion. The work was high quality.  have used him in the past to create 2 bathrooms. Again the work was great.

In an old house things are not always level or straight-forward. They made sure that the windows were properly reinforced (this is a 100 year old house and building codes were definitely different then), insulated around the frames, and then trimmed so that they blend in perfectly with the existing window frames. They had to do some extra work to account for some of the original windows in being slightly crooked, the result looks great. We finally don't have drafts blowing through our windows!
Arcaya does a thorough job and finds the solution to your problem. He doesn't do slapdash "fixes". Our porch (from previous job) had some previously re-work by someone else, but it still didn't stop a leak that went from the 3rd to 2nd floor. Arcaya really fixed that. His men are meticulous and hard-working, they do excellent quality work.
I will definitely be calling him again when spring comes to do some more work for us.

I am pleased to recommend Arcaya Remodeling.  They completed a renovation of my bathroom that included the installation of new fixtures, painting, electrical work, and tiling.  Luis Arcaya was professional and friendly and his crew were efficient, respectful, and left things in an orderly manner.  As the work was being completed Luis would make suggestions about possible improvements, some of which I pursued and others of which I did not.   He was true to his estimate and I remain pleased with the final product.  I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so.

Arcaya Remodeling is a wonderful company from start to finish. Over the three years that we have used them for projects, they have always been prompt and responsive in their communications with us. They provide written estimates with reasonable prices. They have always gotten the job finished quickly. The most recent project described above was completed in three days. Arcaya also stands by their work. The few times that I have found problems with their work, they come by within a day or two to fix it. For example, a couple years ago, they added flashing to all of my windows. Several months later, I couldn't open one of the windows. They were by the same day to fix it. Recently, they were doing work at a neighbor's house and noticed some loose caulking on our house that they had installed two years ago. They fixed it, for free and without being asked. It has been my pleasure to recommend Arcaya Remodeling to about six neighbors on my street for everything from small repairs to large renovations. They are reliable, responsive, professional, fair in pricing and overall, a pleasure to work with.

Arcaya Remodeling does the work that they promised when they promised. They are extremely courteous and neat. They do quality work in a timely manner. I would use them again in the future.
