These were antiques from the 1930s, made of shaded mahogany wood and upholstered seats. When Steve, the owner, brought them back, they looked even better than they probably did when they were new. I can't praise him highly enough! I expected good work, but this is far more excellent!

We are very pleased with the result of  Steve's work. He paid attention to what  we were looking to accomplish and helped us arrive at a very successful outcome. The craftsmanship was excellent and it was nice to see the pride that Steve took in his work.

Upright Upholstery was excellent. Steve, the owner (along with his wife) were extremely attentive to our requests and needs, and Steve made many suggestions that greatly improved the outcome. He was especially amenable to making the furniture 'custom' to our needs and desires. He brought us in a couple of times to check on the 'comfort' of the cushions that he was renovating or creating, so that the final product would be to our satisfaction. We would definitely choose him again for similar work, and we highly recommend him to other potential customers.

My very large sofa cushions were sunken in and needed new foam.  It was especially important as I am now 9 months pregnant and can't get off the couch anymore, not to mention that there's no way I'll be sitting there with a baby--I would never be able to get up!
Knowing I didn't want to buy a new couch, I called Upright Upholstery, provided measurements over the phone and he gave me a rough estimate by phone.  I was impressed that even on the cold call, Steve was very friendly and ultra responsive.  (It's so rare to find that these days!)  I needed not look further.  I had priced out foam online, and it was clear that the price he was stating to do the work was very, very fair.  I brought the cushion in to get a confirmed price and measurements, he ordered the necessary materials, and the work was done exactly in the timeline he had originally stated.  He was engaging, responsive, and a
joy to do business with.  The quality of the work is great.  It was clear to me that he cares about his work and is serious about good customer service.  I could not have been more pleased.  Exactly what I needed, exactly what I was told, and exactly the type of customer service experience one would hope for.  Thank you Steve, and your son Nathan, for your guidance and quality experience.  We are already enjoying the "new"couch!   I will absolutely not hesitate to return with another project, should one come up in the future.  Can't recommend this experience more highly.

The project was on time, on budget, and very well done. More than that, Steve thoughtfully added all sorts of important, unexpected elements that made all the difference -- removing the original, unattractive tacks on the back, adding some extra padding to the top of the toy chest, covering the interior with the new fabric (replacing the original muslin) and making and adding matching piping.
Steve does major, large projects. I'm grateful that he handled this small project so well. Thank you!

Steve was very professional and friendly. He had lots and lots of fabric samples for me to view. He had me take home as many as I needed so that I would feel comfortable with my final choice. Once I gave him my three top choices he helped me pick the final one based on how the pattern of the fabric would look on the chair.

We discussed a date for completion and he had the chair and the bench back to me two days ahead of schedule. They look brand new. He does excellent work.

I would definitely recommend Upright Upholstery and would not hesitate to call him in the future.

They did a great job – recommended the right fabric that would match our decor and be durable enough for the most used piece of furniture in our home. Very conscientious, emailed photos on questionable decisions so that we'd be guaranteed to be happy. Punctual, efficient, detailed – exactly what I wanted! They picked up and dropped off the piece. Upright Upholstery agreed to recover our chair and ottoman while we were away for one week. We provided the fabric which they approved. The workmanship was excellent with repairs made to the frame. The workmanship was meticulous. The wood legs were re-finished as well. We were very pleased with our experience and would highly recommend Upright Re-upholstery.
