LIGHT' N LEISURE (The Purple Buildings)
About us
Light 'n Leisure "The Purple Buildings" born in 1970 to one Renee Greenberg who loved purple and put up the paint to prove it. Our purple buildings have been landmarks in Boston for over 38 years. 'The Purple Buildings' means brand name lighting and ceiling fans at great prices. We love when you buy our lights and we're happy to help you in any way we can; we're not on commission and won't try to sell you something you don't need. We've taken the typical home furnishings experience, stripped it down to the bare necessities to give you a better lighting experience… at a far greater value. If all you need is a nice dining room chandelier or a light for your remodeled bathroom, do you really want to pay the prices of a lighting showroom with designers on staff, an outside sales force, a full lighting lab for every room, and all the associated costs that you are paying for? Why pay for all those extra services you don't need? Come to 'The Purple Buildings' for the exact same, high end, brand name products at much lower prices. We've been doing it this way for over 38 years. When you need lighting, come visit The Purple Buildings!

"Below, please refer to the customer service email that was sent on 6/12, 6/21, and 6/22. Our customer service department also spoke with [Member Name Removed]multiple times. The customer's claims that the emails were not received are highly suspect. We believe they were received; none of them bounced back, and the addresses were verified on multiple occasions. The way our staff was treated by Ms [Member Name Removed]bordered on harassment. Mr [Member Name Removed] and Ms [Member Name Removed]came into the showroom on 6/23, once again demanding that the warranty be processed at store level. As explained on multiple occasions, the warranty is with the manufacturer, hence the term "manufacturer's warranty". We gave Mr [Member Name Removed] and Ms [Member Name Removed]all the information they needed to process the warranty, but they were insistent that Light 'n Leisure take care of the warranty on their behalf. This fan was purchased one year prior to them expecting an in-store return. We stand by our decision to refer the customers back to the manufacturer after one year. Hi [Member Name Removed] and [Member Name Removed], Thank you for your voicemail. I apologize that you did not receive my email dated June 12. Below, please find instructions on how to process your warranty. We value you as a customer and appreciate your feedback. Our Purple People work very hard to insure our customers have a great shopping experience. They are all very knowledgeable lighting professionals and most of them have worked in the lighting field for several years. We pride ourselves on having great prices as well as a large selection of fans & lights displayed in our beautiful showrooms. Additionally, our well-trained sales associates spend the necessary time to help customers choose the right fixtures for their homes. I understand you recently had an issue with your Casablanca ceiling fan , purchased in August of last year. Where this is well past Casablanca's 90 day over the counter exchange period, you will need to contact the manufacturer directly for assistance. You can find Casablanca's warranty and contact information here: [Hyperlink Removed] Please let me know if you need a copy of your original invoice to process your warranty, and I will be happy to provide you with one. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving your lighting needs in the future. Thank you, Courtney McCarthy Customer Service Manager Light 'N Leisure "The Purple Buildings""
"Hi [member name removed], Thank you for taking the time to review us. We value and appreciate your feedback. You should have received an automated email message once your product arrived on our loading dock. I apologize that you had to call the store to check your order status. I'm glad to hear you are happy with your purchase. We look forward to serving your lighting needs in the future. Thank you, Courtney Customer Service Manager, Light 'n Leisure "The Purple Buildings""
"Hi Member, Thank you for taking the time to review us. I have tried to look up your order and I cannot find a purchase from you in our system. Was the order placed under a different name? Can you tell me exactly what type of issue you are having with your fixtures? In your review you mentioned that you could not really tell what you were ordering by looking at the photos online. Since you live in Salem and describe having difficulties ordering from our online catalog, I wanted to make you aware that in additon to our website, we have a large showroom located in Danvers with over 3000 lighting fixtures on display. You can see, touch, and ask a salesperson questions about them before making a purchase. We appreciate your feedback and hope you will consider Light 'n Leisure for your future lighting needs."
