Our arched front door was a drafty eye sore on an otherwise well weathered new england brick home. It took us forever to find someone that would even take on this job. John took care to preserve the hardware and replicate the original wood stain of the front door. He solved unusual problems?like the leaky circular stained glass window?using ingenuity and attention to aesthetic details. He fixed a curved jamb (and in a later job added a fitted screen door) as well as replacing the sill. All top-notch workmanship. The door is not drafty and looks so beautiful now. John Hill has an appreciation for historic architectural details, and it shows in his work. The garage was always left tidy. He offered to take his shoes off when he came in the house and was friendly to my pets.
