They are very responsive and came right out to take a look and walk us through the entire process. An estimate for the repairs was provided the very next day. We shopped around and their estimate was very competitive and reasonable. Although they were very busy , they managed to squeeze us in their busy schedule and start repairs.
Driscoll Contracting knows what they are doing as they completed the repairs in a couple of days. They worked diligently and efficiently. The team that showed up were very professional and friendly. They also cleaned up the entire area before they left. Let me tell you, the work they did looks amazing. It looks like the tree accident never happened. You can't even tell. Everything looks great. We are extremely satisfied with the work Driscoll did for us and would absolutely hire them again for future projects. Not only did they meet our expectations, but exceeded them. Thank you Driscoll Contracting for a job well done!
qualities that have been lacking in contractors we have worked with in the past. Brendan's team is professional and detail-oriented, and we wholeheartedly recommend Driscoll Contracting for any project.
I am willing to pay extra to get quality work - some contractors just don't have it in them to do good work. Driscoll is definitely a high quality contractor. Nevertheless, the price was on the high side. He originally said two men for a day. I expected a quote of about $1200. The actual quote was $1,750. When I challenged him on the price, he justified it by saying it would take 3 men and require staging. The actual work was done without staging by 2 men in less than a full day.
I am mainly writing this review now because of the new shingle roof job that Driscoll did in December 2012. In previous bad snow winters we had ice dams and leaks in our roof, particularly on a shed roof that was over a partial second story addition. In talking to Brendan about the issue we decided to cover that roof completely with ice and water shield and use 6 feet of ice and water shield on the rest of the roof. In this bad snowy winter we just had while many neighbors had ice dams and leaks, we did have ice dams but we did not have any leaks - a GREAT roofing job by Driscoll!
I would definitely use Driscoll again.

We will consider Brendan for future contracting work. One note of advice, make sure you get a very detailed statement of work - get everything in writing and don't rely on verbal side discussions as some of the gutter work was disputed but I had no leg to stand on in the end.
Overall very impressed with Brendan and his team.

I prefer to pay a little more for quality work, and I believe this is what I got. Everyone I dealt with at Driscoll Contracting was professional and they did what they said they were going to do. I got a written quote the same day I saw Brendan, and they started the job when they said and finished promptly.
I will definitely consider using them again for future projects.
Driscoll has been helpful in fixing the issues but also with helping map out a plan to ward off future issues. I would use them again.
repointing the exterior brick face on one side of our house and
removing/replacing old/decaying wood on our facade, as well as a number
of smaller jobs. Their work has always been high quality, efficient,
and reasonably priced. They are very easy to work with and responsive
to specific needs. The workers are always polite and respectful.
Most recently, the high winds from the hurricane in
November blew the door off our roof access. I called them to replace
the door, and they were able to repair it for much less cost. They also
saved us from extremely heavy snow on our flat roof a couple years ago,
removing all the snow before an imminent storm of wet heavy
precipitation hit. They fit the job in despite their very busy schedule
when they could have easily turned us down. I'd definitely use them
again and recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor.
I asked Brendan Driscoll (who I found on Angie's List) for an estimate because he is local and he had kindly advised me in 2011 about the effectiveness of my ridge vent. He also did a small emergency job in spring 2012 replacing broken shingles. The estimate for the present job was in line with one I got in 2011 from a well-recommended out-of-town roofer. Because Brendan seemed knowledgeable, interested in doing a quality job, was local, and as a general contractor could handle both the roofing and the chimney work, I picked him.
The job went smoothly (in the hottest part of the summer). Brendan was on site at least half the day, with the rest of the work being done by his excellent foreman Paul and from one to three other men. Brendan discovered right away that there was no tar paper between the shingles and the roof boards, so he extended the ice shield at no additional cost to cover the entire roof (instead of the estimate's six feet). He also found that the existing ice shield had not been properly mated to the drip edge and installed the new shield and drip edge correctly. The best quality GAF 30-year architectural shingles were used, with rubber roofs on two small flat roof extensions.
The crew started and finished on time each day (job took six days), and cleanup was thorough. Tools and supplies were kept neatly in the garage.
Brendan is a good manager and seems to have a good relation with the men. He is a positive and enthusiastic person who wants to do the job right and likes to solve problems. I enjoyed working with Brendan and hope to have his services again in the future. Also, I should mention Brendan's wife Cheri who manages the company office and is very responsive and communicative.
