Agreed on proposal in March, signed contract, and paid deposit. Contacted them shortly before work was due to start in June and they refused to honor contract, wanted us to install a much more expensive mini-split instead. Unfair and deceptive, and we ended up paying more to another company, but at least they returned our deposit.

I called these guys when my original provider quoted what seemed like a crazy high price. Concord Heating & AC quoted me a much more reasonable price. They were responsive, professional and delivered as promised. I would definitely use them again.

I cannot write enough about this company. We got several bids for a large AC installation project for our home. Most of the bids came back with a recommendation of installing ductless units due to the age of our home and us having a large, cape style home with limited attic space. I didn't want ductless units in each room because I didn't feel like they would be aesthetically pleasing to the eye (just my opinion). Some of the companies actually "no bid" due to the complexity of our project.  Concord Heating & AC was up for the challenge and submitted a quote for traditional AC duct work/central air with 2 zones. After carefully looking over all our options and bids, we chose Concord Heating & Air and we're sure glad we did! They showed up, stayed on schedule, stayed on budget, and were incredible to work with! This was a major job, and they completed it within 2+ weeks. Each day I would get home from work and you couldn't even tell they were in my house. They cleaned up, were respectful of our property, and communicated daily. We've worked with several contractors and unfortunately you don't see this kind of service and commitment any longer. Thank you to Ward & Chris for running a top notch company with values and customer service. I would highly recommend them, especially for large AC jobs in older homes!  Truly exceptional work.

Quick response to our phone call and determination of the source of the problem. Needed part was available so repair was made immediately.  Service provider stayed until the unit was clearly functioning and he was assured that the problem was resolved. 
We have used the company for many years and found them to be extremely reliable and efficient. Their service contract has saved us a good deal of time and money.

I had been getting estimates to replace my 1978 furnace, but thought I'd have it serviced to see how much more life there was in it. The technician discovered a small crack in the heat exchanger, and that the carbon monoxide readings were slightly elevated.  He said he would have to shut it down and turn off the gas to it.  He said that if I got a carbon monoxide detector, he could come back this afternoon and turn it back on.

I went right out and bought the carbon monoxide detector.  When the owner of the company realized that they were not getting the business to replace the furnace, he refused to turn the gas back on.  After  I called and complained to the owner, in a vindictive step, called the fire department to report it.

Well, it is understandable if it is standard operating procedure to not turn it back on and to call the fire department.  But that is not what it seemed.  As long as they thought they were getting the bigger job, they were fine to turn it back on.  Is that a safe and ethical way to do business?  If it is safe, turn it back on.  If it is not, don't turn it back on.  Don't make it depend on whether you get a larger job.

All the people involved in this installation were professional, friendly, efficient, and effective. They were supervised by the owner, Chris Cannistraror, throughout the project, which took much of a day to accomplish. Every step of the project was explained to us both before and then as it was happening, so we understood the process and were comfortable with what they were doing. They were able to work on our schedule, so we could get the $1,000 rebate offered by MASS SAVE, which expired on October 31, 2014. We didn't start the vetting process of different companies until the end of September, when we heard about the rebate, so Christ was very helpful in getting the work done in time (needed to be installed by 10/31), in spite of having a very full work schedule. When they left after the project was finished, other than the new furnace in the basement, we never would have known they were here, as they cleaned up thoroughly. We have confidence that Chris will be there in case of future trouble, but the furnace has been running for nearly a month, now, and it runs smoothly, quietly, and delivers nice, even heat. This was the best job I have experienced in home renovation. It was a complex job because of the need for two separate units and because of the need for installation of the venting system and vent tubes. The service was exceptional. The people were all very professional and really nice to know. They were on time and schedule matched their plan. You could not get a better group of people for your heating and air conditioning work. We are sticking with them for service.

We've been happy start to finish with this company. Chris came out to give recommendations on replacing our old heating system and followed on with a clear estimate of the cost of his proposal. He answered all my questions either by email or by phone (and I had many!!).
The installation was as painless as possible. It was a chilly day in our house, but I'd been warned, and there's really no avoiding that when you replace a heating system in the Northeast in January! We also were without water for a bit, so definitely not the most fun! Still, the work went well and everyone involved was pleasant and easy to have around. They were aware too that it was uncomfortable and really never even took a break.
It was a long day for everyone, but they wanted to have us up and running with heat and hot water before they left, and they did.
There was one little glitch in the system, and the heat failed right after they left (of course!!). However, I called, and Ward was back to fix the problem that same night.
Since then, we have been quite happily heated by the Lochinvar, and the hot water appears to be unlimited! Dishwasher, washer and showers -- all at once -- no lack of hot water here!!
I would highly recommend Concord Heating and Air Conditioning.

They are great and I found them of Angie's list. I liked was what I read on Angie's list from all the other customers. The gentleman who came out here was very good too. He was very personable.

This project required removing the original 1800's boiler, radiators and pipes, and installing duct work throughout the home. Their price was a little more than other bids received, but so worth it! They were very professional and worked very diligently to design a system within our budget that would work for our home. They were very neat, as much as you can be, when tearing into plaster walls and cutting into floors. They repeatedly came back to help adjust the air flow in the home and gave me great instruction on how to maintain the system. They also offer a maintenance program. Chris and Ward were both fantastic!
