Great place to go. I've done business with them for years.

I moved into a house in Quincy recently and need to do a lot of interior painting. I heard that HIngham Lumber offers a free, in-home paint consultation service so I called them to set up the appointment. I received a call back from the color consultant and was told that Quincy is outside of their service area for in-home service but that they could help me in the store if I was interested. I am prepared to buy a lot of paint and would have purchased all of the product at Hingham Lumber in exchange for their color services. I was very surprised and disappointed that a Hingham business won't come to Quincy - it's not like I live in Worcester or Provincetown. Is Quincy really outside of the service area or do they have so much business from Hingham and Cohasset that the Quincy customers aren't important? Note that their competition at Aubuchon Hardware in Cohasset will come to Quincy for a free in-hone color consultation. I am very interested in a reply from the business.

Hingham Lumber Co. have the best deals on propane around here. I also purchase other things there.

We received a very good, quick estimate to replace all the windows in the house from their in-house sales staff and were put into the schedule to have someone come to the house to confirm the sizes and estimate. From there it went down-hill with repeated calls un answered. In short, we were never able to get someone to follow up and have contracted with another company.
