Lighting crushed in snow over last winter; When we hired him, he came out with a book and showed his work and it was easy to sign with him because his portfolio was great. He sent over a team for the first season, and their work was good. The following year, I had to call many times. At this point, I gave a bad review--I couldn't get ahold of him, he wouldn't follow through with his promises. He then called me and threatened me to take the bad review down or he wouldn't come to maintain work. He sent a worker to fix pavers that had faded. I actually helped the gentleman with the work so that it could be completed in a reasonable time. We agreed that he was to come every year and I have attempted to contact him this entire spring and summer. He evades my calls and questions.

Whatever you do, don't hire CC Nightscape and Charlie Callahan. The work he did around my pool and on patios was inferior, sloppy, lost its color in less than 1 year, and cracked several times.  Each time Callahan came to fix his errors (after months of prodding) the work actually got worse.  This is an unreliable, unresponsive and unprofessional company. DO NOT HIRE.

At first Charlie was responive and a pleasure to work with. The design we thought was wonderful. Charlie tends to up sell as the project goes along. I would be catious and be sure to know all the specifics up front.  I also feel he did not know his landscape plants very well and which would be more suitable for sunlight. Our yard has constant afternoon sun.
After one year, three of the prominent bushes were in very poor shape. The time of year we purchased the plants made us nervous(October/November), they did not look to be in good shap as it was late in the season. We were told we had a one year warranty on them but since they were not completely "dead" he refused to replace. We ended up replacing them ourselves. This was not due to a lack of watering, we were very diligent in doing so.
His crew were a pleasure to work with, unfortunately the refusal to replace the dead or dying bushes soured our taste.

C C Nightscape did some work for us years ago. The job looked good when they finished. We did have some issues with it and they had to come back and repair some places last summer. Over the winter we had some issues again, so we're waiting for them to come back and do some more work. It took a while for us to get on his schedule, but they did come back and they did repair the places that needed repairing.

I am submitting a new report since the patio we had installed looks good.

I think Charlie provided a tremendous value for the work performed. As contractors go, if i said something to him that I wanted, even in passing, it happened. He seemed to remember every detail. His work included tree removal, ground prep work, stone walls and patio, brick walkway, lawn irrigation, and landscape lighting. People have commented on the stone walls he did and say "that must have cost you xxx". It cost a lot less than they think. HIs bid was very competative, and he spent a lot of time with me during the bidding process to discuss different ways to do things. The work he bid was from landscape architect plans I had drawn up under separate contract. I would certainly hire him again.
