Over nearly 3 weeks he only worked a total of 20 hours, leaving early for doctor's appointments or not showing up at all. The first day he was there, he ripped out my tub surround, threw away the faucet handles, left the bathtub chipped and full of plaster, then said he wouldn't be back for 3 days. It was at this time he told us that he also did not have a plumber or electrician lined up and he never ordered our window. This is our only bathtub, so I had to spend time cleaning it out and using a wrench to turn the faucets on for a bath. Things only went downhill from there. He framed around the tub using found wood and existing rotten boards. He nailed a few scrap pieces of plywood down to tile over. It just got worse. After a 2+ weeks, we fired him due to fear of further damage to our house. We are currently in litigation to get part of our deposit refunded.
