+ -1 moreThe estimate was $1100, the final bill was _exactly_ that, and they were quick, prompt, and helpful. This estimate was right in line with what my home inspector had told me to budget for this repair. They even spent some extra time hunting down an unassigned breaker in my house, which was above and beyond what they needed to do to meet the electrical code. The new equipment is flawlessly installed, and when they came back for the new boiler wiring in a few months, that went flawlessly, too.
Description of Work: Pelland was recommended to me by my heating service company, who was planning to use them on a boiler replacement. While we were still planning for the boiler, I went down to the garage one morning and heard the electrical panel buzzing intermittently, like an angry wasp. I phoned my heating contractor, asked them for the name of their electrical contractor, and described the problem. They were there in a flash, and they replaced the main breaker that day, because it had been shorting out because of a water drip coming down the cable from the electrical meter, which was an immediate fire hazard. They scheduled a replacement of the electrical service wiring in from the street for the next week, to fix future drips and give me a solid modern connection to ground.
