Martin Custom Masonry

Work started approx. July 1st, 2011 and was supposed to be done in 3-4 days with a visit back two weeks later for an application of a polymer sand and final tweaks. The work took much longer than the original estimate and, in fact, has not been completed. There were some glitches along the way as well. First mistake the company made was to place existing blue stone on our grass for 3 days which killed it. Patrick (owner) assured us that he would replant the dead areas which he has not done to this date (our landscaper recently took care of it after we waited two months). He also brought his son to the job site for a few days until we asked him not to do this. I am not sure who he thought would be "baby sitting" for his son but it struck us as odd that he would do this without asking us since our babysitter ended up watching him. In addition, while it was nice that they did not smoke on our property (which we had requested), it was not cool that he smoked on our neighbor's property. At this point, we have made multiple phone calls to his company number and the owner's cell phone. He sporadically calls us back and assures us he will be the next day but no shows. This has happened throughout the project. The quality of his work is adequate but the unprofessionalism is unacceptable at this point. On a final note, we still have his equipment in our garage and driveway which we finally moved out of our way so we can use the garage again.
