We were charged for the material over the phone which was ok with us. They told us we had to put a deposit down for the "big skids" used to place the cinder blocks on. If we returned the skids, we would get our deposit back. My husband told them we didn't have anyway of getting the skids back to the place and they told us that when there was a truck in the area, they would stop to pick up the skids. When they delivered the blocks, I watched the man. One of the blocks fell off the truck and broke in the street. He just picked up the pieces and threw the pieces in a closed compartment on the truck. Not that the price of one cinder block missing was going to put a dent in our budget, it was just the fact that he thought it was ok if one was missing. When we called the company back to see if they could pick up the skids, they gave us a hard time and finally said they would come. Well guess what, no one every came. What bothers me about this whole deal is the misleading customer service. If you can't follow through, then don't say you'll do something. At least the customer knows where they stand. Glad we didn't request a bigger job by this company.
