The project was a major effort in restoring the elegance of our 1892 Victorian house while modernizing it.  The kitchen project greatly improved the kitchen by adding cabinets, countertop space and building a bench in the eat-in kitchen.  The downstairs bath remodel converted a quirky full bathroom off our dining room into an elegant powder room.  The main phase of the kitchen/bath/laundry project took about 12 weeks.
Asher's crew was great to work with and we felt very comfortable having them in our house.  They are very knowledgeable and professional.
Asher has a good eye for detail. As we went through the project he had many suggestions for improving the elegance of the house that were cost-effective, such as adjusting the window trim in the eat-in kitchen to match the rest of the house and putting frosted glass in the basement door so that the natural light in the stairwell would light the hallway.
Overall this project was one of the best remodeling projects we have ever done.  It was also the most complex renovation project we have done too.  We are thrilled it went so smoothly and are delighted with the end results.

I highly recommend Asher Nichols. He is an exceptional contractor. He is responsive and takes the time to answer all questions. He makes recommendations based on what makes sense for the situation and not what will increase costs.  From the beginning, he has been organized and on schedule.  We know what is coming next and never worry that his team won't show up.  Everyone who works with him is professional and courteous.  The work is excellent and they took the extra time to close off the work areas so we could stay in the house with two small children.

It's hard to find a crew as punctual, courteous and professional as Asher's.  They always come exactly  the time we wanted them to come and always gave us relevant information on what and when they will be doing the work.  Asher also took extra care to inform all the neighbors the work we will be doing.  They worked through some bad weather to ensure that we were able to use the diningroom and mudroom as quickly as possible.  Aside from doing quality work, Asher also ensured we are informed through email, text, in person visits.  He was honest and able to provide guidance and course corrections on some of the decisions we had made with the architect to ensure the work is top notch and not costly.  I highly recommend Asher and did recommend him to a family friend, for which he is now working to refinish a multi-floor deck.

I can't recommend Asher Nichols and his team highly enough! He delivers high quality work with attention to detail, and he clearly expects the same from his team and any of his referrals (eg, his electrician, Jim Nadeau). For example, when we ordered doors he reminded me to check the hardware colors to ensure that they matched the ones inside -- something I had totally not even considered when I reviewed his recommendations. He was responsive via text and email, in addition to phone which was huge for me since most of my coordination came while I was at my office (and this was rare with other folks I considered). He's very proud of the fact that his workers are his employees, and it shows in their work too; his employee David was terrific, cheerful, prompt and did great quality work. When the work was over, David asked one of the little girls that lives downstairs from us what her favorite flowers were since the work trampled a little garden she'd started and he got flowers to replace them. Asher and his team not the cheapest on the market, but this is truly a case of you get what you pay for -- he even went out of his way to work with my downstairs neighbors to go over the costs and explain his costs when they expressed concern....and not to mention, his estimate was almost exactly spot on with no hidden costs. Overall, a terrific experience!
