I have had the misfortune of dealing with The Gillach Group on two separate transactions. The first incident happened years ago, when Mary's broker, Art Rawding, failed to reimburse me for the condominium questionnaire fee I incurred for their buyer. It was only after leaving a poor review that I was eventually reimbursed. Nevertheless, that pales in comparison to the most absurd encounter I had with The Gillach Group after I just purchased a condo from them for over $1,000,000. I have purchased many properties over the years, and typically the buyer receives a token gift from the selling agent. However, don't expect one from Mary. Shortly after I closed, I noticed that the HVAC filter in my condo needed replacement. Because it's a commercial unit and not a standard size, I asked my broker to contact Mary and her team, so they could ask the sellers about the company who installed the HVAC unit (The fact that it was just installed was included in Mary's marketing materials.). Instead of an answer, we received an attitude from Mary Gillach. Her response intended for my broker is as follows: "Below is the message from Oliver I received yesterday after I told him twice that you were upset about it. "Mary said she will not bother the sellers with this. She says if he wants a new filter to take it out and measure and buy accordingly. The installer won't be able to help him with something as a simple as a filter change." The issue is that it's actually a bit more complicated than her arrogance implies. Mary should know with her MBA (I have one, too.), that commercial HVAC supplies cannot be purchased at Home Depot, and the size of the one in my condo is actually not sold online, so the request to find out who installed the unit is reasonable. After trying to get a response from Mary, and Oliver Fahling, I simply contacted the sellers myself. Problem solved. Mary Gillach treated me very poorly, and this is after spending over $1,000,000.

She had a team of realtors but really it’s her (The Gillach Group).  She worked with us for two years and found us our dream house in a very high and competitive market in Brookline and then she sold our old place over within a week for $135,000 over our asking price so we feel happier with goes on the dollars and finding what we wanted.  We are happy with Mary and the person and there is a wonderful partner in looking for a place and understanding our needs and everything.  She is above and beyond.  My impression is that she does that for every one of her clients.  She will be “A” across the board.  When she sold our place we paid her 5% of the selling price.  I don’t know how you will enter that in but it’s like standard rate of all bill for real estate agents in the area.
