PEMA INC SERVICES

We had two experiences with Pemas. Firstly, our tree was trimmed. Good price, quick service, decent clean-up. They were meant to trim and just hacked back to our neighbors property line, but it did the job and we now have sun on our yard. Now the problem. We worked with Pemas to re-do our lawn. $6,000 later, we paid for a the lawn to be graded (for flooding), dig tunnels for gutter run-off, scrape the weeds/soil and lay new soil and seed, along with rock beds for water run-off and mulch beds for decor. Results: a lawn that was not graded properly (we have flooded multiple times since), rocks in locations we had not discussed and not in locations we had agreed to (including on our neighbors property which she requested we remove), and a new, toxic to pets weed that was not here before. Either the mulch, loam, or soil was infected, with wild onions, and over the course of the winter, it spread and took over our lawn. These weeds are no where on the rest of our property, no where in our neighborhood, ONLY on parts of the lawn Pemas laid down. We had to rip up all the mulch, have huge chunks of our lawn missing, and Pemas response: yes we did that work but no we can't help you. It doesn't matter how much you spent, how much of a waste of money it was. Good luck! The best they were willing to do after dozens of phone calls pleading for help was to dispose of what we dug up, a week after they promised to come. Our lawn is in shambles. $6,000 later and we have been quoted by another lawn company that it will all have to be ripped out and we have to start over. I am appalled this is how a local company would choose to do business.

Poor Communications. I received a quote for tree removal and had a few questions regarding scheduling and conduct of the job. On multiple occasions I contacted PEMA via phone or email and received no response. Instead I received a notification that my job had been completed without answering or addressing any of my concerns. The job was done well at a reasonable price but I will not use PEMA again and would not recommend them due to lack of communication.

They removed and entire tree, including the stump. They had some machine problems, but he called and was very thorough. It took about 6 hours to take down a huge tree, a maple, maybe about 30 feet.

They did a good job trimming trees, cutting lots of bushes, grinding stumps, and clean up. They are very efficient and responsible. We will recommend them to others and will hire them again.

The work went fine and they also swept the sidewalk and street when they were done.

Excellent work. We had a major part of a very large tree fall on a Saturday at 5pm. I called PEMA at 6pm and got a real person, an answering service who collected my info. Elmer called me back a half hour later and was onsite by 7pm. He surveyed the situation, and came with equipment at 7am the next day (Sunday) to remove the fallen limb. We had him come back a few days later to remove the rest of the tree. Elmer and his crew were fantastic, courteous, professional and thorough. They even helped the neighbor push his car out of the way. Very glad I found them.

Elmer, the owner responded very quickly. He came out the same day I contacted him to provide an estimate. The Pema crew was at our house three days later and did an outstanding job. They showed up on time and went right to work. They trimmed all the branches overhanging our home and removed four trees. They hauled away everything they cut and blew away any remaining debris. They were able to maneuver their truck into some tight spots to get access to the tree limbs.
While up in their bucket, they noticed a hole in our roof with an adult raccoon inside. They took photos and emailed them to me so I could forward them to an animal control company.

The tree removal went extremely well. We did not need to be home and when I got home I couldn't even tell they were there. They worked quickly and everything was left neat. I was very impressed.

Their service is always very good and very thorough. I didn't see them this time but any encounters that I've ever had with them or their team, they have always been very customer service oriented and very courteous.

My sister contacted several tree services to request to have trees trimmed before huuircane Sandy. Pema Inc services was the only company that returned her call. They explained that they were very busy but they would come before the storm.
The appointment was scheduled at 9:00 AM Sunday 10/21/12 and they arrived on time. They immediately started by cutting down a dead tree and trimming multiple trees on her property. I called my sister and asked if they could swing by my house and give me an estimate.
They came to my house as soon as they completed the job at my sister's house. They gave me an estimate and immediately started the work uopn my approval. They trimmed my tree and cleaned up after themselves.
The entire crew was very courteous and they did a fantastic job.
I highly recommend Pema Inc Services.

Pema was great. They put down boards to prevent damage to the lawn. They did a great deal of work, much more than expected for a very fair price and were extremely courteous. Afterwords, they did a 100% thorough job at cleanup, even blowing away all of the sawdust. My neighbor was so impressed, he hired them to do work for himself immediately.
