Showed up on time for estimate. Didn’t try to sell me more services than what I requested. His crew showed up when expected. Friendly and kept work area clean making sure no nails or old shingles left on the ground. They worked efficiently as a team. I would hire them again.

Initially met them thru Angi for gutter cleaning but politely turned them down for competing contractor. Asked offhand if they did carpentry repairs. J&A came out next day to estimate my other project and we had them repair deck stairs and remove rotten door trim/replace with new. They did a great job! In and out in 1 day and very efficient.

I had a leak in my roof. J&A were the first to respond to my request and the first to come and look at work and give estimate. The price was very reasonable and they were able to schedule right away. Greta experience all around.

After initial correspondence, communication was lacking. I had to reach out to them for a time, they were an hour late and never contacted me to tell me so. They did clean up after work was completed. Not sure if leaked is fixed yet, will wait until it rains, but have a 5 year warranty on service I was told.

Excellent job. One thing if they had put a tarp up against my house when stripping I wouldnâ t have to have cleaned off marks from my vinyl siding but it wasnâ t that bad. Very nice crew excellent job just waiting for a rain storm to see if any leaks.

We needed help with some roof troubleshooting. J&A (Daniel) promptly came out to diagnose the possible approaches and help us build a plan. He was thoughtful and listened to our concerns. The team that did the work was quick and neat. Really appreciated Daniel taking pictures that helped me ‘see’ the problem more accurately

The team gave a competitive estimate and did great quality work replacing a flat roof. They were efficient with their work and cleaned up like they were never there. They were appreciative of the work which was refreshing. I will hire them again!

If you need your roof repaired or replaced, do not hesitate to call J&A Handyman. They are the best contractor I have ever used over the years. Their office manager, Daniel, is very quick to answer and return my phones calls. He responds to my emails within a few minutes, completely addressing all our concerns. The Owner, German/Fidel, is very thorough. He shows up exactly on time, quickly finds the problem and suggests solutions. His crews are also very meticulous, thorough and work very hard. His price is very reasonable. Furthermore, he gives a 10 year warranty. Although I do not expect to use the warranty because of his thorough job, it is good to have a peace of mind with a 10 year warranty. After they have finished their repair work, they looked for any other imperfection in our whole roof, and preemptively fixed the problem areas without any additional charges. They cleaned every debris after they finished the repairs. Thank you so much, everyone at J&A Handyman.

We hired J&A to repair our slate roof. We needed to have the valleys and ridge caps replaced as well as some slates replaced. We have hired many contractors over the past 15-20 years for home projects and J & A was the best hands down. We got four estimates for the work on our slate roof. German from J&A was one of two who actually got on the roof to do a complete inspection. He was the only one to send pictures of exactly what needed to be done, and he was the only one to provide a detailed, item-by-item estimate. The others just gave total costs with little to no explanation, and the estimates varied by close to $10k! J&A was also fast, efficient, and professional. From first contact and estimate to the roof being done only took about a week total (two full work days to complete the job). The work was great and our roof looks fantastic with new copper valleys and ridges. Hire J&A: they are the best and they charge a fair price for top-notch work!
