MY company delivered privacy trees to Ryder landscaping and construction and they bounced their check on me and still have not completed payment 6 months later. Avoid this company as they scam other companies for their materials and display fully dishonest business practices.

They did a very good job. Bill Ryder has an excellent eye for the aesthetic elements of stone combinations, color and stone sizes. Professional process. Quite happy with the result.

Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Long review short... Project started almost two weeks late... during which we remained overly understanding. Awful communication. we were told 3 different times that they would drop material at the house and start the job the following day. Also it was in the contract that all posts would be cemented... my wife can lift 5-6 of the posts with one hand!! He told us he cemented the pole underneath and slid a cover over it?? What's the point then?? BREACH OF CONTRACT! A gap between the house and fence was left which we voiced our concern about. He said "there's no way a dog can get through that, if it does you have a magical dog" -Well... should've named her Houdini because she waltz's through it no problem!! During the original visit to quote the job he completely misjudged the grade/slope of our yard and as a result had to step the fence which left a large void at the bottom where the dog could escape from easily. Quick, cheap and unsuccessful "fix" was to throw down loam to fill the gap. First rain washed it away into the neighbors yard and ours in the form of mud. We contacted him and at first he was offering to bring more dirt to help. We bought timbers to cover the gap and reached out to the owner to let him know we would like the dirt. He responded by telling us to go f*** ourselves (quote) and called my wife and I each a colorful name that begins with a C!!! We are mortified ! Never again, we will be reporting him and making sure our friends and family are not subjected to this disrespect and stress. Readers/potential customers should do the same!

Professionalism= Zero
Punctuality= Unreliable
Responsiveness= Abrasive, rude, vile
Quality= fence looks good but doesn't do the job we paid for it to do!
Price= for an unfinished job no dollar amount is appropriate
Overall= Completely mortified and disgusted.

The end

I hired Ryder Landscaping after having hired another local specialty landscaper to construct a front walk. The first landscaper had no idea of what he was doing and built a defective, unsafe, walk that looked like it was constructed by amateurs. After having the walk professionally inspected to confirm my fears, I hired Ryder Landscaping to totally remove the walk, regrade the sloping front yard, construct the walkway with granite slab steps, and build a stone retaining wall along my driveway. Bill was very professional and talented, and the end result looked even better than I could have hoped for. I had purchased concrete blocks for the retaining wall, but Bill offered that he had stone left over from a prior job that he would give to me at no charge, and that it would look much better than concrete block. The new stone wall and walk looks fantastic and gives the property much improved curb appeal. Bill is a great guy, honest and fair, that I would highly recommend to anyone needing landscaping or hardscape construction. Don't mistake someone who cuts lawns for a true professional landscape/landscape construction contractor.

Bill was excellent to work with. He was very punctual for the initial estimate and came back out to discuss options several times. We have a miscommunication while waiting for materials, but Bill worked very hard to smooth over the issues and did the work as soon as possible. The work he and his crew performed came out beautifully, and we couldn't be happier. Bill identified some problems a previous contractor had caused with my irrigation system and corrected them.
We are very happy with the work we had done and would not hesitate to call Ryder Landscaping again.

The project went very well. Bill was very responsive to my calls on setting up the estimate date and appointment date (which was dependent upon the weather). He arrived in the morning on the date he promised. He and his assistant were very polite and walked around the dig area with me to clarify what I wanted dug and what my requirements were. Once we had that clear, they quickly set to work.
I remained in the vicinity to answer any questions. Bill roto-tilled the area and his assistant worked to clear rocks and debris with a rake. Bill needed to run over the area at least 3 times in some places because the earth was packed down so much. When he finished tilling, he asked me if everything looked good and assured me he had gotten to the required depth. His assistant was raking the area clean and evening out the dirt on the entire area. It all looked good to me and I approved of their work.
Bill noticed that I had planted some grass near the area where he had been digging. He gave me some helpful tips on how to mix the seed into the soil slightly to help the seeds germinate better. I appreciated his help. He showed me a technique on how to rake the area and went ahead with my permission and raked a large area - about 20' x 20' - to help me out. I thanked him for the extra help and then he asked if I wanted to be billed or preferred to pay right then.
Bill Ryder and his assistant were very responsive, professional and polite. I would highly recommend Bill for roto-tilling work and landscape assistance.
