Mellonics Alarms

The first visit was right on time and Roger took the time to look at both the exterior as well as the interior of the house. He made several various combinations and then offered a mid range one as his recommendation. Having done some research and talked with others who have alarms I thought his recommendation was spot on. He and his crew arrived on tim eand quickly and cleanly installed the system and teh alarms. He then took the time to train my wife and I on how to use the systema nd pointed out various possible issues we ever face ( open windows, spent batteries, etc). He answered all our questions and made sure theentire system was ready to g before he left.
Since then we had one minor issue with a defective alarm which he promptly (same day as the call) replaced, tested and confirmed was active.
A great company to deal with.

I was very pleased with Roger's approach and work. When giving his estimate, he did a careful survey of the house and took the time to explain various alternatives and costs. He recommended certain options that were not the costliest and said that other things were probably a waste of money. Because my house is old, the installation itself took longer and was more complicated than expected, but Roger got the work done at the contract price.
I had previously signed a contract with a big-name national alarm company. When they came to do the installation, they hit me with some surprises (e.g., claiming that certain wiring could not be hidden) and tried to add over $1,000 to the agreed price to do the work. I refused and re-bid the job.
I'm glad that I went with Mellonics instead. I have been happier working with an independent contractor who knows his stuff, has a choice of equipment, and does his own work rather than dealing with a large company that has estimators, different technicians each time, and inflexible policies. Roger also provides good follow-up service and is happy to answer questions.
