The whole process was seemless and they are very professional. I sent an email requesting a price quote and sent a picture of which trees I wanted removed. That same week, he came by while I was at work and then emailed me a quote. The price was fair and reasonable for the work being done. A date was agreed on and they showed up first thing that morning. They removed the trees using the crane and cleaned up like they had never been here. I was completely satisfied with the work and would definitely recommend them. I plan on using them in the future.

Justin arrived on time and gave me a verbal quote on the spot. My original plan was to move the sand myself using a wheelbarrow. After seeing the professional job performed I will ask Justin to come back next week to distribute the top layer of loam. I would recommend his services.

I called 4 local tree services (and had to leave messages at all 4) because a large pine had fallen across my driveway during a snowstorm. J Holiday was the first to return my call. One other service called right back and the other two called later in the evening. Even though we were in the middle of a snowstorm, they said they would be out within the hour and they were. He explained in detail what he was planning to do.
It was very obvious that he knew what he was doing and had done this same sort of thing before. It didn't take long for him to assess the situation and remove the section of tree that was crossing the driveway (approx. 20 minutes).
The tree fell around 10:00 AM and I was able to make a noontime appointment.

Justin is always responsive, professional, and provide a quality service at a fair price. He's done all my tree care services for the past 7 years.

Justin came out the same day we called and gave us an estimate on trimming trees,removal of brush, and cutting up downed trees. He said it would be a couple of weeks before he could get to it and we told him we weren't in a hurry. I called again several weeks later since I hadn't heard from him and he then gave me a tentative date. He came and did the work while we were gone. When we returned we noticed he had missed a few things and when contacted he promptly came and followed through.

Justin was very punctual and professional when we first reached out to him. We talked about the masonry and landscaping, but he was clearly passionate about his tree work. The plan was to rebuild the front steps and walkway, then he would design the front landscaping to match.
The subcontractor for the masonry was excellent! The outcome was wonderful and they were done in maybe a week from the deal. The tree work was also completed very quickly. Then we got into a dreaded delay cycle. First there were crew issues, then family/health issues. We gave lots of time and space for that to get done. After a few weeks of having large piles of excavated dirt in our front and backyards, we pushed to have it cleaned up in time for July 4th. His crew came out, removed all the dirt and put down some basic mulch, but it wasn't the same layout as we had discussed. They also broke one of our irrigation lines. They didn't replace the front stair railings on the new steps. It was VERY hard to get back in touch with Justin to report these issues. Eventually someone came back out to install the railings but they weren't painted as Justin had offered. We ended up taking care of the irrigation line and cut our losses, having never seen a landscaping plan for the front yard.

Justin arrived at the agreed time to consult on the work I was considering. He offered alternatives (for example, to trim canopy deadwood rather than remove a couple of otherwise healthy trees), and other recommendations. A quote for the agreed upon services was delivered within a couple days.
Justin came across as being professional, knowledgeable, and as having obvious 'hands on' experience.
I was NOT in a rush to have this work done, so I cannot comment on timeliness. Generally, I prefer dealing with small, local businesses, and I find it not unusual to experience some delay due to inevitable difficulties in keeping to schedule in work that often involves unforeseen difficulty. I was kept informed of the delays (I believe work began 2 days later than expected, in part due to equipment repair). In any event, once the crew arrived, the work went according to plan. The crew appeared to work efficiently, in a well coordinated approach that included cleaning up as the work progressed.
All in all, I am very satisfied with the service J. Holiday provided, and I would use them again.

They were very prompt getting to me with a free estimate. They were the cheaper of the options I had but seemed very professional so I decided to go with them. They removed two trucks worth of tree debris within a few hours and did it without tearing up my yard too much. They were very careful with felling the large dead tree that was threatening my house and they made quick work of it. They had to go around some live trees and my invisible pet fence but didn't seem to have any issues.
