They were prompt to respond and came the same day and found the limit switch faulty within 15 mins. Since they did not have the part they placed an order and after 2 days when they received it they came back again and replaced it .
The total time both days put together was around half an hour .
Since not having the required part was not my problem and technically if they had the limit switch it would have been done the same day i thought they would charge for 1 hour/visit price but they split it into 2 visits .
I feel strongly it would have been fair to charge me an hours price plus the price of the part and i would be happy to pay that. Now even with the issue resolved it leaves me with a bad feeling.

I am putting an F to the grade now because even though the company responded they totally avoided the fact about the pricing and addressed about the part unavailability.
I am aware that you may not have the part but that was not the issue. I was considerate to that and stayed without heat for 2 days with young children at home but you decided to bill me as 2 visits for that which is what is the issue here and you did not even mention that once in your response and neither anyone called and informed me about it .
I am sorry you need to be fair in billing.

Its not economical nor possible to keep every part for every furnace made in stock in our trucks or at our shop. We do however, do our best to locate and get that part ordered and shipped to our shop as soon as we can to get your heat back up and running in the most timely and efficient way possible. I solicited several bids for this work which included an lot of estimating. Foster was very competitive and came in on price and schedule. The crew was easy to work with and did a fine job.
this is the second time i have used foster over the last few years. Mark came the last time
and i was happy to see him as he is a great trouble shooter and finds the problems quickly.
fThe problem was a defected relief valve and a igniter that needed cleaning.
As a side note to Mark i mentioned how we always run out of hot water while showering.
and now we have plenty of hot water, he adjusted the settings, Darn all those years !
ERIC C. FOSTER is a very good operation as he does work all around the area.
