 + -1 moreI saw them listed on the hotel's wedding site and looked them up on-line. I requested a wedding pamphlet and after filling it out made an appointment for a consultation with Honey to go over the details. My daughter chose a fall color scheme. We were shown various flowers and arrangements for bouquets and centerpieces. A proposal followed, on line, and I reserved the date with a $150 deposit. Several weeks before the wedding we met at Lotus Designs again to finalize the specific flowers. On the day of the wedding Honey delivered and set up exactly what we had requested. They were beautiful and we had no unpleasant surprises. They lasted for more than a week after the ceremony to help provide good memories.
Description of Work: Lotus Designs, Honey, was the florist for my daughter's wedding on October 22, 2006. They provided the table centerpieces, cake table decoration, bride's and bridesmaid's bouquets, groom's and groomsman's boutonni res, mothers' corsages, ceremony site flowers and cocktail and bathroom arrangements.

 + -1 moreI THINK I'VE COVERED MY OPINION IN THE ''DESCRIBE THE WORK'' SECTION. THERE IS NO BETTER FLORIST IN THE CITY, PARTICULARLY FOR ENERGETIC FLORAL INSPIRATION AND FOR READING JUST WHAT IS RIGHT FOR THE SITUATION YOU DESCRIBE TO THEM. THEY ARE NOT AS STRICTLY FORMAL OR WILDLY EXPENSIVE AS WINSTONS - WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL ALSO - AND NOT AS AFFORDABLE AS KABLOOM,EITHER, WHERE MORE COMMON FLOWERS ARE HANDY, FRESH AND AFFORDABLE. LOTUS DESIGNS HAS ITS OWN UNIQUE CHARACTER AND SHOULD BE EXPERIENCED AT LEAST ONCE! IT IS DIFFICULT TO IMAGINE ANYONE EVER BEING DISAPPOINTED WITH SUCH INVENTIVENESS, COMMITMENT AND TERRIFIC ENTHUSIASM.
Description of Work: I HAVE USED LOTUS DESIGNS FOR MANY BUSINESS FUNCTIONS AS WELL AS PERSONAL BOUQUETS (I THINK THEY MAY DO A LARGER BUSINESS WITH EVENT PLANNERS, OR SO IT SEEMS). THIS IS A PARTIALLY HIDDEN (?) GEM IN BOSTON'S SOUTH END. EITHER EVERYONE SEEMS TO KNOW AND ADMIRE THEM, OR HAVE SIMPLY NOT DISCOVERED THEM YET. THEIR PROPRIETOR AND EVERYONE THERE WORK TIRELESSLY, THE FLOWERS ARE ALWAYS FRESH AND GORGEOUS, AND THE PRICES ARE VERY FAIR COMPARED TO COMPARABLE QUALITY WORK, SUCH AS FROM THE ALSO WONDERFUL WINSTON FLOWERS. BUT THIS SHOP IS MORE INVENTIVE, MORE CREATIVE, MORE OUTGOING. ONE NEVER FAILS WITH WINSTONS, BUT YOU ALWAYS KNOW WHAT YOU'LL GET: PROFESSIONAL, POLISHED AND LOVELY. HERE THERE IS A CREATIVE BENT AND DELIGHTFUL LEVEL OF PERSONAL INTERACTION. THEIR PRICING IS NOT INEXPENSIVE, BUT FOR WHAT YOU GET IT IS ABSOLUTELY FAIR. KUDOS! (AND I'M AN ON-THE-SPOT BOUQUET REQUESTER, NOT A PLANNER. I'VE SEEN THEIR WEDDING BOUQUETS, ETC. ON THE WAY OUT - PERFECTION!
