We picked Nile to help us find a new home in the Hyannis area based on excellent reviews he had received on Zillow. He spend several mornings and afternoons with us showing us houses in the area, mostly houses that we had picked on the internet. When looking at houses, he provided excellent advice based on his experience in the building industry.
We found a house from our list that we really liked and almost bought, but just as we were about to make an offer, Nile found a house that we liked a lot more, in a better neighborhood (the asking price had just dropped by $30,000 the day before, and thereby come into our price range). He then negotiated the price for us. I was willing to pay full price, but he got them to drop the price by almost $8,000, which was great.
In the offer to buy, Nile added a clause that he would receive the full 3% commission on the sale, even though the listing agency was known to ask for less than 6% (in our case, 5.2%). Since the offer was accepted, the other agent had to take a cut in her commission, and she became quite uncooperative afterwards. However, we did get the deal to go through as planned, even closing a week earlier.
We have been living in our new home for several months now, and absolutely love it. We are very thankful to Nile for finding it for us, and helping us in buying it.
