The floors look brand new! We met with Chris while in the middle of renovations and explained that we had several things tocomplete and that we would contact him when we were ready for the flooring. Well...traveling 3.5 hrs. from CT on weekends, the project took much longer than we originally planned. We spoke with Chris periodically to let him know where we werein the project and he said to call him when we were ready and he would be sure to fit us in. After finally completing the kichen,we called Chris and he was at the house within a few days. We didn't hesitate to give him a key so that he could go over towork on the floors and we wouldn't be in his way. Chris assured us that the floors would be complete by the time we arrived thefollowing weekend. The floors look beautiful and the whole process went very smoothly. Dealing with Chris was a pleasure, especially after the nightmares we have had with some of the other contractors on the project. We wish he was located closerto where we live in CT because I have been a real estate broker for 28 years and would gladly recommend him to all of my clients.Do not hesitate to call Fratantonio Flooring!

Overall, the experience was a very positive one. We had been working hard to get the cottage ready to rent out. The person who had committed to do the floors backed out on us, and I was in a panic to find someone who could do the job on short notice. Chris came over the day after our conversation to give us an estimate. His price was very reasonable. He also agreed to work the job on short notice. He and his staff worked hard to make the floors look better than we expected. Chris is very knowledgeable about his craft and gave us valuable advice regarding types of finish, color of finish and alternative flooring for the kitchen. He always left the house tidy before the end of the day. He offered to send workers over during the weekend if we wanted. Chris even showed up one afternoon after he had wisdom teeth removed earlier that day!Chris was very accessible to discuss anything either electronically or by phone. My husband and I are very satisfied with his work, and would recommend him to others.

Chris is a true professional and his work was outstanding, better than I ever expected. The old floor was beat up and pretty badly stained yet Chris was able to bring it all back to life and it looks brand new. I'm sure he spent more time on our floors than he anticipated but he never brought up charging us any extra and was very happy that we liked his work. He had a couple of helpers and they were both very hard working and courteous. The painting on the baseboards and trim touchup was also done very professionally. I couldn't be happier with the work done by Fratantonio Flooring

1.The floor went OK. After it dried after a few days, workers came to paint the room. That's when all the problems began:The two painters rolled out to cover the floor some paper (when I described it in detail to a floor refinisher he said this was 'asphalt paper'). I supplied two cans of white paint: one primer for the walls and ceiling and a second one for the trim, and one gallon of blue paint for the walls.I saw that no prep took place: no masking tape for the trim or three windows. Prior to agreeing to the work Mr. Fratantonio said he would close off the hallway before sanding the walls. The workers who arrived had no plastic sheeting. when I asked them if they were doing this they asked me for a bedsheet. Finally they went out to a store and purchased plastic and blue tape.Because they showed up for work about 6 to 6:30 every evening normally, and often stayed until 8 or later it was really disruptive. I never knew when they were coming. Several times Mr. Fratantonio phoned me and said he or the crew would be coming at 1 or 3, etc., and they did not arrive until hours later. Painting the walls took SIX visits over many evening hours. Not because the room was so large but because the workers did such a sloppy job that they had to keep going over and over the same trim and the walls. Even the last worker spent more than 1.5 hours scraping paint spatters from the base of the floorboards, touching up blue where there was white trim overlapping, and vice versa because the previous workers had done such a sloppy job. Workers also tracked white paint on my black hex tile in my master bath, installed the previous month, and left spatters of blue paint on the beige tile on both sides of the toilet in the same bath. When they removed the paper covering the floor, I discovered 9 partial circles the size of paint cans imprinted on the wood floor, as well as lines, that the refinisher I consulted with said were and quot;oil marksand quot; from the underside of the and quot;asphalt paperand quot; used to cover the floor.Mr. Fratantonio responded angrily when I said I had and quot;consulted with another floor refinisher about the circles, and days later brought this up again. He claimed the circle impressions had occurred because his workers were standing on the paint cans. Not so==they were using my footstook. He refinished the floor again and said the can of polyurethane cost him $129, intimating I was getting free work.Mr. Fratantonio also complained a number of times that I would not allow his painters to wash their rollers, brushes in my bathroom. Not only were my two bathrooms new (they were just completed the previous month by a contractor) but I have a septic system and put in expensive wood furnishings in the master bath. As far as I was concerned this was my choice--he must have complained 3 times about this.
Throughout the painting work, Mr. Fratantonio's role was basically limited to phoning me at night, asking me how the work went, and asking me if I was ready to and quot;settle upand quot;. HHe took no responsibility in assuring the quality of his workers product.
When the work was finally done and I paid Mr. Fratantonio the agreed upon $650,and we discussed the above, he stated he found it difficult to find sufficiently skilled painters, or hire people who are truthful about thier skills. I wish Mr. Fratantonio had told me before I agreed to pay him to sand and paint my bedroom. I spent three miserable weeks sleeping on my sofa.

Christopher Fratantonio from Fratantonio Flooring did the floors in my house and I could not be happier! Even before he stepped foot in my home he spent over an hour with me on the phone answering all my questions and explaining every step of the project. He also explained the different types of wood I was interested in to help me choose the right type of wood for my project. He worked with me on the price and even told me ways to save money. I had another estimate from another flooring company that was a little lower, but I went with Fratantonio Flooring because I really feel as though Christopher cared about making sure I got what I wanted. He was flexible with his schedule and worked around my weekend visits to the Cape. He kept me updated during the project and kept my home and property clean. I have already passed his name along to my neighbors and will continue to refer him to family and friends.
