For the estimate, Joe should up promptly at 7:30 and looked at the 2 areas I  was most concerned about (the leaking metal roof and roof ridge), after walking around the house he  noted some other areas which I knew needed attention but hadn't been my primary focus.  He was very re-assuring about the scope of work and inventive about solutions, very knowledgeable about problems and preventive maintenance.  He mailed me an estimate the following day and thought he would be able to start in 2-4 weeks depending on the weather.  Because of the weather (very rainy lately) he wasn't able to start until the fifth week.  2 days prior to starting he called and let me know when he would be coming..  He tried to start on a Thursday but shortly upon arriving it became clear that it was going to rain - and rain all day.  Called promptly on Friday letting me know he wouldn't be coming because of the rain.   Arrived bright and early Monday, went to work immediately re-attaching the gutters. By the time I got home the gutters were done and the metal roof was sealed.  The following day he took care of the loose slate and the roof ridge. He called to let me know the work was complete.  Very happy with the work and the solutions he came up with to deal with some unexpected challenges.
