Lamy Electrical Services

Lamy was brought in by our contractor. During the initial bidding/estimating process Lamy chose not to write down anything that was said, despite the insistence of his contractor. The entire team was on hand (painters, carpenters, electrician (Lamy), etc.). The timeline and the requirements were clear. Lamy never showed up on the job when he said he would; however, his apprentice's would be there. Lamy is supposedly a journeyman electrician, but I never met or heard of a supervisory master electrician overseeing his work. That's a violation of MA state law. With 1 day left in the remodel, I came in to inspect the work and found that Lamy had all of the wires for the audio and visual hanging out of the drywall. No plates, no fittings, nothing. I went to the store and purchased ALL of the wires and plates (binding posts, etc.). The contractor and electrician stated the job would be done. Upon moving day, 2 days later I went to turn on my receiver and found that 1 speaker out of 13 speakers work. I took off the plate and found that Lamy hooked up a couple of wires then stuffed the remaining wires into the wall and secured the plate to the wall. Even more egregious is the fact that he put my newborn in danger by wiring the baby's room with an incorrect wiring scheme. I had hired a master electrician to come in when I found none of the outlets in his room worked. The ME found the wiring issues and warned that there may be issues throughout the house. Additionally he said there was no way a licensed electrician did that work because it didn't meet code and was flat wrong. So, today I am spending thousands of dollars having Lamy's work corrected so that my family is safe. Please, please don't hire this man. He might offer a cheap price, but beware!
