I want to thank everyone at John Dolan Kitchen & Bath for the excellent job they did in redesigning my master bedroom bath and updating my guest bath. I appreciated all the Lorraine's help when I was choosing my cabinets, tile and accessories. She was wonderful! The workers were very friendly, courteous, and professional. Everyone at John Dolan Kitchen and Bath was very accommodating and understanding when I made a few changes to the original design. Their reasonable price was instrumental in my decision to hire John Dolan Kitchen & Bath. I would highly recommend John Dolan Kitchen and Bath for your remodeling project.

This is our third renovation with the Dolans. They consistently do what they say they will do, when they say the will do it for the price that they quote. Lorraine and Caroline work with us to ensure the design is what we are looking for and in our budget. They do really high quality and professional work

Dolan's team were efficient in their ordering, kept me informed about scheduling, showed up on time and executed the half bath renovation in shorter time than promised! They even came back a day after to seamlessly adjust some items so that the project was a complete success. This is the third project We've done with John Dolan's team and we are 110% satisfied.

It has been over a year since the renovations were completed and we are still enjoying the renovations every single day!

10 years ago, John Dolan remodeled our kitchen with accuracy, enthusiasm and professionalism. It came out great, so we contacted them to do our bathrooms. Unfortunately, the results were not as positive. This job originally moved along at a decent pace. Though, one early concern I had was that even though I had requested a portable potty for the workers, John Dolan didn’t provide one. These days, you usually see one at every worksite. I had to provide a bathroom for them to use and since we were having 2 remodeled, we had to share our extra bathroom with grown men who used it for EVERYTHING. This was neither safe nor sanitary. Another early concern I had was that because there were days where no one showed up, I think a little time management would have worked well since it was the dead of winter and because the bathrooms were gutted, we were exposed to the cold air and heat was escaping from the house. That along with the men constantly leaving the front door open, made our heating bill for those 2 months extremely high. Once the inspections were done, we were able to tile and put in the fixtures. That’s when I started having more concerns. Since I was installing a steam bath, the bath enclosure needed to be airtight so steam couldn’t escape. Sliding doors were installed with about 2 inches of space on top for the steam to escape, along with openings between the doors. I expressed my concerns, but they tried to convince me that the doors would work. Of course, they didn’t. John Dolan was extremely angry that I was insisting they replace the sliders with airtight doors. He claimed he has used sliders before with no problems. And even though I felt they should have known what doors to use when they originally gave me a quote, I offered to pay the difference in the cost for the correct doors. Then I noticed that they put ventilation in the steam unit enclosure. I inquired with steam experts and other contractors and venting was not recommended. John insisted that was how he and his family did theirs. I wouldn’t except this. So, when John Dolan came for their final payment, I insisted that I first needed the vents returned to their original location outside of the steam enclosure and on the bathroom ceiling. This really angered John and he had unpleasant words for me. He said in an intimidating manner “why do you think I am here today?”. There were other serious concerns like a crooked and off centered vanity light, hideous pipes installed and exposed in our garage and the awkward placement of the vanity so close to the door. Also, as they were finishing, we noticed there was no mention of towel racks. John Dolan said that was my fault for not mentioning I would need towel racks. We were confused because they mentioned other necessities like toilet paper holders. We just installed our own towel racks. When the work was finally done and after I made final payment, we noticed a cracked tile, a cracked lamp on the light fixture and mismatched door hinges on a shower door. We contacted John Dolan about these finds, and they said they would contact us when they could repair. A month later and we still haven’t heard from them. And because there was so much confusion about how to make a steam bath and enclosure, we are concerned about the accuracy of the work and if there will be other concerns in the future. As far as pricing, if you decide to work with John Dolan, make sure you check alternative pricing since their items and labor were a bit overpriced. You may not want to spend $40 for a toilet paper holder. On a positive note, the final work looked good, though it would not have been what we wanted if we hadn’t intervened. Also, the men were friendly and often cleaned the work area at the end of the day. And while they had originally quoted 4-6 weeks of work, we weren’t upset about the work taking 2 months. I just wished we had the speed, diligence, and expertise we experienced when they remodeled our kitchen. So, not too sure about recommending John Dolan for a bathroom remodel. I would also recommend you have some experience with a bathroom remodel because you may need to daily check their work. We upheld our end of the contract and faithfully made payments on time. Except the final payment which I withheld until the work was completed to my satisfaction. And now, I wish I could have delayed the final payment for a couple of days. I would have had a chance to find those mistakes. But as I mentioned, I was under duress to pay by the end of the final day. BTW If they contact us and make those changes, I will update this review. As I mentioned earlier, John Dolan seemed much more concerned about their work and customer satisfaction when I dealt with them 10 years ago. Now, that good contractors are hard to find and remodeling jobs are in high demand, maybe some contractors are less attentive to their clients. This could explain the difference in John Dolan’s service.

John Dolan did a great job remodeling my bathroom! I love it! Lorraine who works at the showroom was amazing to work with, so helpful and knowledgeable about design! Highly recommend.

Like my mother always said, "You get what you pay for!" They provide all remodeling services except painting. Very convenient, careful workmanship, and this is crucial- good communication! No headaches!

Great! When we told John (Dolan) our needs and concerns he made good suggestions that addressed our needs and concerns. They kept the house clean during construction. They started on time and finished on schedule, and the final price was essentially the same as his original estimate. He listens, is responsive if issues arise, and he does quality work.

Perfect from start to finish. Installers were on time, amazingly efficient, neat and well organized. Cleaned and vacuumed before they left. If I didn’t need to replace items I needed to remove, I would never know I had work done. Absolutely great!!!

After extensive research into all of the options available, I decided to have my kitchen renovation done by John Dolan. The kitchen design phase went well and all of the decisions I made (with the advisement of John, Caroline or Lorraine) ended up working out well. Once the demolition started, I was very impressed by how careful the workman were in protecting the rest of my space and that of my neighbors. Not a single complaint by my negighbors - in fact, they had compliments for how unobtrusive the renovation went. The workmanship in every step of the renovation has been excellent with meticulous attention to detail. They removed a ceramic floor and replaced it with oak that matches perfectly with the light oak in the adjacent living room. I could not be more pleased and very grateful I decided to go with John Dolan.

We had backsplash tile installed in our kitchen, and it came out great. We chose 3x9 Travertine subway tile. Lorraine at John Dolan was very responsive in coordinating the work, and Steve and Tyler, the installers, were punctual, professional, excellent tile installers, and really nice guys to deal with. We couldn't be happier with the whole process, and won't hesitate to reach out to John Dolan for future work. We talked to 3 other installers before we went with John Dolan, and all 3 did not impress us regarding price, competence, or professionalism.

Job was stellar. The process for selecting materials, producing a proposal, scheduling, delivery and communications throughout all went extremely smoothly. Not one issue from start to finish. Extremely pleased with the result!

Dolan did work for us a few years ago He is deceptive all the way Very expensive and he hires young laborers to do the job Bad reviews about him keep disappearing - + the positive ones are very questionable Be very careful with this guy!

Dolan did a total remodel of my master bath in August of 2018. It was very pricey but I've gone with the cheaper options in the past and have found that you get what you pay for. I love the way my bathroom turned out and based on that job, I would have given them A for just about everything. I recommended them without reservation. I then hired them again in March 2018 to do a partial renovation of my kitchen. I replaced my granite counter with quartz, put in a new sink, touchless faucet and tile backsplash. I bought the sink myself and they told me it was cracked and leaking. As I had just been released from the hospital and was on complete bed rest, I didn't see the sink until after it was installed. I did get a credit for the sink I bought but then had to buy the identical sink from Dolan for over $200 more. When the quartz counter was installed, there were two unsightly seams. We did complain about these and the installer came back but they said that was the best they could do. We let it go at that point but a few weeks later, we went to visit friends that just had an almost identical quartz counter installed. We had to search to find the seam in theirs. I took pictures and sent them along with photos of my seams to Dolan. They never responded. We spent over $45,000 in under a year with them and now have counter tops that look terrible. After this, I feel I can no longer recommend Dolan.

I was very happy with the products and services provided (new countertops, backsplash and flooring). I especially loved the showroom where a picked out our materials. Super helpful staff and I could not be happier with the outcome.

This is the second job I have done from John & his team. True professionals, very polite and they make sure the job is cleaned up before they leave...They cover the floors which most contractors do not do when they are working..

Everything went well. They accommodated our schedule and got the installation done between house purchase and our move in date. All steps of the process were communicated clearly and went as expected. Everything looked great. They even sent someone back to sand some rough edges in the doorways that I was concerned about. Pleasant to work with.

We had one problem with the way the installer installed the counter top in the kitchen, but John came right out and looked at it. The problem was corrected the next day.

The Dolan workers were knowledgeable and acted professionally. Crews arrived at the promised time and clearly explained the plans for the day. Teams worked well together and took pride in their work. Specialists were consulted and called in to perform and oversee specific tasks. Owner John Dolan personally monitored progress and coordinated the schedule, which proceeded with minimal delays. The excellent quality of the work and prompt completion of minor adjustments convinced me that customer satisfaction is a key objective of the Dolan company. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. After an initial visit to look at our current kitchen, we met with Caroline to discuss layout and options. Her knowledge and suggestions throughout the project were very helpful and she got back to us immediately if we had questions. We mutually agreed on a starting date after the holidays and work began on January 2. Communication was consistent and we were always told of the next step and what to expect. All workers were efficient and care was taken in protecting other areas of the house and cleaning up at the end of each day. We couldn't be happier with our beautiful new kitchen. We would highly recommend John Dolan Flooring, Kitchen and Bath.

Waited longer for start of remodel but once started it progressed as expected. The various workers workers were very respectful of our home never leaving any messes. The company us a whole were very attentive to our needs, always getting back to us promptly.
