The job went very well. First he installed the Then he assessed the job of sealing space between the exterior stone wall of my bathroom and the roof. House wrens were finding it a great place to nest. He shaped a piece of Trex to go around the stones and sealed the spacing with caulk. It was very successful and resourceful.
He vented the soffets of the A-Frame portion of the house. And made minor repairs to the structure where wrought iron rails had been attached. I was thoroughly pleased with the work completed.
The birds still haven't been able to create nests in the roof area. The gutters and down spouts move the water away from my foundation. I am still pleased with the results.

No complaints here. He showed up when it was agreed upon, did the work, and we have never had a problem with the roof since.

I was referred to Hernon construction from my plumber who I have used for many years. I started out hiring him to renovate the kitchen in the new house I bought. As I settled in and found other things that needed to be done I kept asking for bids and kept using Hernon. He worked as almost a GC even though I had booked all the subs making sure everything was done well. He spent lots of time going over every aspect of each project so I knew just what I could expect. In the end he has renovated my kitchen, repaired my shower, finished my basement, built an outdoor kitchen and completed a studs out renovation of a barn on my property. All of this on top of numerous smaller projects that popped up. He has also put me in touch with contractors for different tasks that ended to be done along the way. I continue to use Anthony, have referred him to my brother and my parents and would recommend him to anyone looking for an honest contractor who is a pleasure to deal with

I contacted Hernon Construction concerning attic stairs that had just broken. He returned my call that day and over the phone gave me a ballpark figure for the work. He came out that weekend, took a look and quoted me the same figure - $600, to include removal of old stairs and installation of a new set. He said it would take about 3 hours. When he came to do the work, it took 3 hours, he and another worker were professional, cleaned up after themselves. The price and timing were exactly as he had promised. The stairs installed use pistons instead of springs. They allow us more room to access the attic opening, and the stairs are as steady and sturdy as can be. We have absolutely no complaints.

Anthony was wonderful from start to finish. He came promptly for both the estimate and the scheduled work. Once I decided to use his services, he was able to schedule me within 2 days to fix my roof regardless of the holiday that week. He was thorough in his assessment of the work that needed to be done, and honest about what needed immediate attention verses what could be addressed further down the line. On site, he completed all of the items we had discussed and patched a few additional places that had not been in the original assessment but he felt needed extra attention. Hand down, start to finish, I was very impressed and will certainly be contacting him again when more work needs to be done.

Excellent workmanship. The removal of the old door and frame, installation of the large Slider, and cleanup werte all done with such skill. This is a one of a kind company for the best responsiveness, punctuality, and workmanship.

The work was very well done, and Anthony was extremely professional and very good in explaining in detail what was needed and why. He was very detail-oriented and excellent at cleaning up after himself. I actually chose him over a lower bid, but then he added about $300-350 worth of additional work (the new gutter) free of extra charge, and worked hard and diligently, so he was well worth it and very good to have around.
The only reason I gave him B's in 2 categories is that, even with the additional work, the price MAY have been a tad high - but he was willing to discuss it and again I fully accepted it after seeing what he did and the effort he put in. Also on punctuality he was five days late in doing the final few hours of work, but said he had sustained a minor back injury and also, given experiences with other contractors, just five days late isn't bad! But I do very much value getting a job done when I'm told it will be done.
Overall Anthony was very good and I would happily recommend him. It's always good - essential actually - to get competitive bids just to be sure the price range is about right.

Overall the gutter repair/replacement job was done professionally and my expectations were met or exceeded.

Mr. Hernon was prompt, reliable and extremely competent. He left no mess behind, and all work was completed as promised.

He is wonderful. I had tons of snow and ice was so bad that it has built up one wall it went back and had buried our roof. It was leaking inside and it was not something that he normally did, but since we have been a customer and we are going to be a customer again this spring. Within two hours of our phone call he came out and went up onto the roof of our family room and shoveled about two feet of snow off our family room that day by himself. He came back the next day with someone else and did the main part of our house. He is an amazingly wonderful man. If he sees anything that needs to be done while he is here he will do it and not charge for it. He was concerned about an area of the gutters that was done that he is not happy with and he is going to replace the plywood and reface and re-do it. Anthony was the only one that came out and he got a ladder off his truck, climbed up and went and looked unlike all the other companies I contacted. We spent $775 on that service. I recommended him to others.

Excellent. Anthony was great with communication and punctuality and did great work. The front door work went quick and smooth. He measured the space for the custom crawl space door and dropped it off for me to paint as agreed. The price for a PVC option for the crawl space door seemed a little high, but it made sense. I look at it as 'get what you pay for' and we got a door we are very pleased with, that should last a very long time. I'd be confident hiring him for much more complicated work as well. Thumbs up! Henron Construction was neat and had resonable prices. he was always on time. he was a quiet worker. he never bothered anyone in the house. i would use him again in the future.

He was very good and very professional. We liked him very much. He was very prompt and on time. We would highly recommend him. He cleaned up after himself. He got the job done in a timely manner. He did a great job. He probably wasn't the cheapest but we were okay with the price for what he provided. We didn't check pricing. We would absolutely use him in the future.

I am thrilled with them. I am planning to have them come back to do more work on our roof. We compared their price with other companies. We looked at some other companies online. However, the price charged by Hernon Construction was average. The contractor not only did what was requested but he found some other things that he replaced and fixed. He didn’t even charge us for that. He did the work at nothing extra. I am very pleased with him. The work was done. He was here on sight with his workmen. He left and then came back to check the work. He made them redo it if he wasn’t happy with it. He came back to double check things after it was all done. There were a couple of minor things with what was done. He would be back as soon as the weather changes. We have hired him to do some other work that he happened to find on our roof while he was working. So we are going to contract him and talk to him about the contract price for the new job as well. We are also considering him for window replacement. He was very thorough and careful. We had picked somebody else to get the work done but we are now going to go with Hernon Construction. There were 5 contractors who had come out to look at our roof and gutters. We didn’t know if we had the drip edge or not. However, Mr. Hernon was the only contractor who bothered to get up and look if we had the drip edge or not. He also cleaned out the mess in one of the gutters. So there was work until he got here to replace them. He was very nice to do business with. He returned calls promptly. The cleanup was perfect too. I found just three nails after he got the work done. His work was great. It was very difficult to find him and we found him online. I did read the reviews that he had received. The reviews were pretty much in line with everything that I felt. There was one contractor who had come out and was very high priced. I wasn’t very impressed with a lot of them that I dealt with. However Mr. Hernon's team got here before we got his price. We were pretty much convinced with them. He was punctual and returned telephone calls. I am very pleased with everything he did.

The experience was excellent. Mr. Hernon came promptly to examine the work to be done, submitted an estimate, and then came and finished the work in one day.

Anthony was a consummate professional, always dependable and on time, and always keeping mess to a minimum and cleaning up after each day's work. He did a great job protecting the entire entry path into the bathrooms from the outside (including "carpeting" all floors and stairs with cardboard) to keep the mess at a minimum throughout the job. He was patient in explaining things to us when we had questions, always answered our phone calls, and was very responsive when we had concerns. He never complained about our endless questions and was as interested as we were in a high quality job. Anthony's electrical, plumbing, drywall and plaster subcontractors were also first rate in terms of quality of work and professionalism. They were there when they said they would be and cleaned up after themselves always. The only issue we had was with the tile subcontractor, who did not want to work with the difficult glass mosaic tile we had picked out as an accent tile. But Anthony handled it very well and the tile was installed beautifully in the end. He was not the lowest bid we got, but it was a very good value and we would hire Anthony again in a heartbeat.

Everything was done in a timely manner. He was prompt every day. He told us the night before when he would be here the next day and he was. The work was impeccable. All of the subcontractors were great. It was the most positively upstanding experience we have had with a contractor. I have recommended him to several of my friends.
