We scheduled an appointment time for 12 noon. They called at 8 am the morning of the appointment and said they could only come at 9:30 am.
They said the price to come to our house was $29. After the technician arrived, he said he charged $150, even if we did not have him perform a repair.
I am disappointed with the inaccurate quotes, changing the appointment time, and the expensive price.

We hired Winter's Company after having a couple of other companies try to solve our broken drain issue because they seemed the most knowledgeable and willing to try to find a "non-digging" solution. After rescheduling their appointment twice due to other jobs that "went long", they did come and do what we felt was a thorough exploration and attempt to clear the drain. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Our agreement was that if Winter's Co could not clear the drain, they would provide an estimate for digging up and replacing the pipe, and for repaving the parking lot. Since Sept 27 when the work was done, I have heard from them a couple of times saying that the estimate is still coming, but they're held up by the excavation company they work with. We're not in a huge rush, but still no estimate yet.
Conclusion: Their representative seemed very knowledgeable, but their work is very expensive. It was also annoying that we agreed on an hourly rate, and an hour after I thought our meeting was concluded, I looked out the window and saw the truck still sitting behind the building. Even an extra 1/2 hour at $150/hour is frustrating, especially when running the snake didn't work, so it amounted to a $400 consultation. Maybe they have a minimum charge, but before I hired them again, I would be very clear on the cost.

Charged $1300 for less than an hours work to replace a part, and the boiler leaked gas afterwards.  Another plumber redid Winter's work and fixed the leak for $500.  Eventually the local plumber found that the problem was really irregular gas pressure which took several calls and visits from National Grid to get a regulator, which is not made any more,  replaced.

I've been using them for many years. They are always prompt. They quote the work in advance. I've found them to be very reliable. They have a monthly plan that gives you priority service that works very well.

I made arrangements to have Winters come unhook my old gas drier and hook up the new one after delivery.  The unit is in a closet so the space is a bit tricky to work in but everything was done well by a friendly plumber.
The place where Winters shone was that because of incompetence on the part of the appliance delivery guys I had to reschedule the second visit twice, and each time they had a sad chuckle with me and worked hard to find a place in their schedule soon that worked for me.

The quality of the work seems ok, it was just a lot of waiting for them to come back and finish the work or being on time
